Moustaches are hot! (beards absolutely not!)

I’m not sure if moustaches are having a moment but AIBU to find them really really attractive on men, especially when I detest beards (don’t mind stubble)?

• My fav- Mike Wozniak the comedian
• Bob from Bobs Burgers …I know, too far!

I think it signifies competency to me, which I find deeply attractive in a man. If he had his shirt sleeves rolled up, hairy arms, watch, hand on the headrest while reverse parking, all with a lovely tash, I honestly think I’d faint!

Beards, yuk! Find them scruffy and hate the feel of them. The ONLY exception to beards is that dapper bodyguard who works for King Charles.

With a beard I don't mind them, without a beard not keen, throw back to the 80s, although I think it suited Freddy Mercury💖

A moustache without a beard looks odd to me. Like those disguise toys that have the glasses, fake nose and fake moustache all attached.

I'm loving that Guy Fawkes look modelled by George on Masterchef at the moment.

I'm yet to get on board the moustache bus, but I expect I will in time because I was a very late arrival to appreciating a nice neat beard party.

My main issue with moustaches currently isn't about the look but the pronunciation of the word itself- so many people say it mustosh which makes me shudder even though I'm sure it's regional or something

YANBU I love a moustache! I keep asking my partner to grow one for a while but he hates them! He would look extra handsome with one in my opinion

Look at old pictures of soldiers with moustaches and they look so handsome, or more modern examples of Henry Cavill and Alexander Skarsgard 👌🏻

As a child of the 70s/80s I find all facial hair a turn-on and thought Aidan Turner in Rivals was super hot 🔥
Mind you, I also find Captain Birdseye sexy, which my DH finds puzzling.

Years ago I shaved my beard off. DW had never seen me clean shaven. She screamed and refused to go out with me until I grew it back.

Oooh no, a solo moustache for me is a turn off BUT a well groomed beard is a thing for me. It has to be well kept though - straggly/stinky beards 🤮

DH has stubble which I love. He keeps it trimmed. Love hairy chests and and other areas too. Smooth men do nothing for me.

I’m so with you OP. But I was in my twenties in the early eighties so peak moustache time. DH had a fantastic one when we met. Still has from time to time though it’s past its prime.
Watching Rivals and Aidan Turner brought it all back. Patrick Grant too.

Beard + no moustache = Weird (Ancient US Presidents vibe)
Moustache + no beard = Not working. Will make an exception for Ben Willbond as the Captain.
Moustache + beard = yes. It had to be clean and maintained though. No Catweazel lookalikes
Stubble = bring it on
Clean-shaven = Not my thing generally but as a look, fine.

I agree it's an age thing. I'm in my 40s and 'taches remind me of 80s dads and 70s porn stars.

I think a lot of them get beards to minimise the look of a double chin don’t they? I see a lot appearing mid forties as waistlines relax!

That's so funny I've noticed more and more guys sporting moustaches. When I mentioned to DH he said that it'll be for movember but it is a thing after all! Personally I don't like them, prefer a beard.
