Husband picks his nose and eats it

My husband works away and a few months ago on FaceTime, he was ‘discreetly’ picking his nose and it looked like he was eating it. I called him out and he kinda just laughed. Honestly, I was horrified. Then on other calls, he tried to hide his lower face but he didn’t put the camera low enough down and he whipped the bogey from nose to mouth so I know he is doing it. I feel like, why would you choose to do that right now? On our call? He’s done it a few times now and I just call him out every time. He doesn’t really say much when I call him out- just gets a bit embarrassed. We’ve been together over 20 years but I see him differently now. Maybe it’s small to some people but this has completely disgusted me. The thought of kissing him repulses me. I wouldn’t say I’m head over heels in love with him or anything but I quite like his company for the most part and we have a pretty good sex life but this has changed things. I’m so grossed out. Am I being unreasonable? Is it over?

when I was an engineering apprentice, one little gem I learned, greasy hands? no swarfega or soap to hand? snot is a surfactant like soap, blow you nose well into your cupped hands, rub in well and rinse - works a treat, done it a few times in desperation!

I see men doing this staring into space / at their phone while picking their nose all the time on my commuter train it is repulsive. And not even discreetly, having a good old root around. On a packed train! Some eat it, some flick it off and I don't know which is worse as who knows where that flying bogey will land...🤮

My exs insatiable desire to eat his own bogies is why he’s an ex. Non stop. I had to physically turn away.

Quite! I absolutely don't eat the contents of my nose. Think about what bogeys actually are...mucus combined with dirt, germs, pollutants, dead skin cells...why you'd want to eat that is beyond me. Blow or wipe it in a tissue for gods sake!

Hahaha, good question. Ok, I’ll admit that if I don’t have a tissue handy the dry boogies sometimes end up on the floor (non-carpeted) to be hoovered the next time I hoover.

Just add, I could not be with someone who does this. So, OP, you have to tell him to stop ever doing it in your presence or it's over.

A friend of mine eats his earwax. He is handsome, very successful, intelligent, kind, humble. A really amazing person. I can’t understand for the life of me why he does it and I am worried that other people would have noticed this and he would lose their respect :(
