Long before AI it apparently took a lot of takes and some well trained animals

The John Lewis and circa 2011 with the Morrissey soundtrack.

The 90s and 00s WH Smiths ads with Nicolas Lyndhurst playing all the different family members.

The Gold Blend couple shows age.

I’m can’t remember what it was for but I’ll describe it as I remember it…

2 cars on the motorway with the front car looking like a blonde woman and men/man in the back car looking as if to say ‘hot woman coming up’ then when they went past & smiled…the woman was an Afghan hound! I loved it as a kid!

Podgy little girl with specs dancing in a ballet dress (John Lewis) I so WAS that little girl. Puppy fat, obsessed with ballet and terrible at it.

3 Mobile I think, a little girl has a cake and is sitting in the playground away from the kids who want the cake. The girl picks the cherry off the cake and it starts singing. She screams and runs off.

And I far too often find myself singing "you do the shake n vac and put the
freshness back" even when I'm not hoovering. They don't make em like that anymore!

I think it's one of the greatest tragedies of our times that the Shake 'n' Vac woman never (as far as we know) got together romantically with Barry Scott from the Cillit Bang adverts

And also the Clarkes shoes one, which I can't find online, but the little girl at the end says "and according to mummy, I'm going to be a proper little madam"

And the woman's face on this one - we want to be together. (now a catchphrase in our house e)

Some of them skated quite close to the wind, but a number of the Irn Bru adverts are all-time classics!

Literally just came on to say this - had a quick reminisce on YouTube and was shocked to see Nick Kamen died a couple of years ago - so very sad.

Also liked the car adverts - Vauxhall - with the little lads being "grown up".

"Over tired!!" was a staple catch phrase in our house due to that for ages.

There was an ad from the 80s for some sort of Chocolate mousse or yogurt where the woman ate it and whispered "Don't tell the children" its always stuck in my mind and no one else remembers it.
My fave ad would be JL Monty the Penquin.

Yes, that was sad about Nick Kamen.

YP was great in its day, but in the age of the internet, it seems so ancient and inadequate now!
