Aha! I saw the title and thought "guess I need to find the link to Harvey and the Rabbit" but lo and behold! It was in the OP! It's the best advert ever. 😍

R Whites Lemonade - Elvis Costello's dad, apparently.

scrivette · 03/12/2024 19:24

Red Car and a Blue Car, Daddy or Chips and the 2 Fat Slags from Viz advertising lemonade.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 03/12/2024 19:30

The Unison Bear. We still say, “scuse me” in a squeaky voice when we need to get past each other in our house.

The jaffa cake full moon advert!

This one.

The worst one is the 70s Readybrek one that lied about making kids glow. I believed it and nagged my mum to get some. I still feel cheated.

The Specsavers sheepdog ad. Genuine lol every time 😄

Sorry but I hate that one. No farmer would mistake a dog for a sheep. 🙄

oldmanandtheangel · 03/12/2024 21:01

The judderman is unbeatable

The kitkat dancing panda one from ages ago

I thought I might be the only the one to remember this. My favourite TV ad to this day. Still makes me laugh.

I liked the car advert with the Professionals lookalikes, and the 70s Cinzano one:
"Were you truly wafted here from paradise?"
"Nah. Luton airport."

FireandBrimstone · 03/12/2024 21:36
ad for the VW Beetle. (Video is a bit grainy, sorry)

So, so clever. And the music was perfect too.

MayorOfHuyton · 03/12/2024 21:55

Nike advert featuring professional footballers on a ship, the music is A Little Less Conversation by Elvis, and it goes on for about 3 minutes

I'm only about 4, so I still love this one - for Aldi beans. The quality is ropey and the volume very low, but still hilarious!

I vaguely remember an advert for Heinz beans donkeys years ago, a geeky looking girl is sitting at the table complaining she didn't like beans. Her mother looked sternly at her and said something to the effect 'Margaret Roberts, eat your beans or you'll never amount to anything!' She then looked at the girl, pondered a bit and took then beans off her! Margaret Roberts was Margaret Thatcher's maiden name, it was only shown a few times and then was made to disappear suddenly.

The vauxhall ad for a petrol/diesel car accompanied by the song "It takes your breath away"

The Luton Airport one was Campari.
Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins advertised Cinzano.
