Just checked the app. Looks like M&S are not doing it this year. John Lewis are doing something similar though.

M&S seem to have scaled back on their Sparks offers recently, just %off random items rather than freebies. I guess they are not struggling so much at the moment!

On reading this I checked my John Lewis app ( I am in the UK by the way). It said I am too late for today's. What time are you supposed to open them

I just opened my JL reward- a box of chocolates! Hopefully they have some left when I pop in later!

I take it back…I was in the app again just now and I could open both yesterday’s and today’s reward. So maybe just a glitch @Catsinaflat?

Sorry OP, this was about M&S 12 days of Christmas! I think I read last week they confirmed they were not doing it this year. Gutted as it was always something a bit fun to cheer you up each morning. Will just have to hope the Sparks offers get a little bit more exciting than £1 off a box of mince pies.

I don't think I have had a decent Sparks offer for ages. I shop there at least once every week and do my main food shop there weekly too, so I think I'm a good customer. It just seems to be offers like 15% off something you don't want. I did wonder if they'd do the 12 days of Christmas thing again this year - I got a nice bauble last year.

I didn't do very well in the Christmas promotion at John Lewis last year. I went in for the free mini mascara, was there about 20 mins after they opened, but was told that they'd already all gone. Maybe this year will be better.

JL had run out of the chocolates today, bet the staff ate them all.

lidl are doing an advent thing as well if people have their app. I won a chocolate Santa yesterday but had to spend £25 to claim it. Couldn’t be bothered to do so

None at mine either. The women at customer service said they only had 40 boxes!

I got some. They were giving them out as fast as they were being unpacked so I bet they didn't last long. I've put them away for Christmas

I've got a Lidl over the road and needed to do a shop today so thought I was quids in. Was there a Santa to be found? Of course not 😭

All people did was moan and moan and moan about m and s here the few years they did it. I'd read the thread daily just for the lols at all the foot stamping

But don't worry - there's John Lewis for all those people who want to whinge about free stuff and discounts!
