Board Game for Christmas

Sorry posting here for traffic.

We're after a board game that can be played with 3 plus people (will be 8 of us at times) between the ages of 13 and 50! Any recommendations wise mumsnetters?

Absolutely loved 5 second rule and Herd Mentality if they're anything to go by.

The Mind.

I've just gone round the local charity shops for this reason.

Came away with a game for £3.50. Should be fun.

Sagedragon · 29/11/2024 23:19

Outsmarted is excellent. You can change the difficulty for each individual player (kids, teens or adults), and there are lots of different categories that you can choose from.

Whiteblanket · 29/11/2024 23:19

Sorry meant to say the game was articulate but the shops are awash with games now. Good luck.

We like taco cat goat cheese pizza

BiancaBlank · 29/11/2024 23:25

Articulate is good for several people. Also Telestrations, particularly if your group is bad at drawing!
We also like Hive Mind, Code Names, Decrypto and Sherlock Holmes card game

missmousemouth · 29/11/2024 23:26

Sushi Go is great fun

5 Second Rule is my fave!

Did you know you can buy 'adult version' question cards?

nonoteveryonehasitthesedays · 29/11/2024 23:29

Articulate is brilliant

MidnightPatrol · 29/11/2024 23:31

We have recently been enjoying sounds fishy, from the same people as herd mentality.

There is a real answer to the Q, and everyone else makes one up. The person whose turn it is has to guess which is real.

Very funny and easy to play.

Carcassonne, Chameleon, Cobra paw, Codenames, Perudo (liar dice). Love letter. Camel cup. Dixit.

Stumblingalongthroughlife · 30/11/2024 01:04

Articulate, Dixit and Annomia are my favourite games to play in bigger groups

scarletslasscardiff · 30/11/2024 01:09

Lobster mobster is very funny and easy to play

ProudScoutMum · 30/11/2024 01:51

The kids like cards against humanity, I think we have kids against maturity too it's cards not a board but you do need a tabletop to play it easier. They also have about 6 different versions of Uno they like to mix up with a card shuffler.

We have Downton Abbey Cluedo which is a theft if I remember rightly not a murder. They also acquired Poundland Monopoly recently (it was in their toy sale) they are planning on using the money to replace the bits they have misplaced from one of the other sets.

FourForYouGlenCoco1 · 30/11/2024 08:04

Articulate, Linkee and Outsmarted (provided you do a practice run through of the last one and make sure you initially set it up on a larger device and not a bastard phone, like I did

Have just bought this so happy to hear!

Spondoolies · 30/11/2024 08:51

Not really board games put good for pick up and play - Dobble, Slapzi, Cobra Paw, Tenzi, Corks, Kluster, Rotten Sprout Game, Pear Shaped. Bugs in the Kitchen is quite entertaining. Rapidoh

Seems a fair swap

We love that one too! My poor BIL is always the loser.

Health warning: I nearly broke a finger on at least two occasions playing this 🤣
