Board Game for Christmas

Sorry posting here for traffic.

We're after a board game that can be played with 3 plus people (will be 8 of us at times) between the ages of 13 and 50! Any recommendations wise mumsnetters?

Absolutely loved 5 second rule and Herd Mentality if they're anything to go by.

Dixit, articulate, period, pass the pigs, code names… I wish my family were into games!!!

Scrawl is fantastic. We always take it with us on Boxing Day. Be careful to get the original and not the NSFW version! Although that one is much funnier after a few drinks

Ransom Notes

Second this. We have played this from my 14 year old to my 84 year old mum and they all enjoyed it.

Thanks for this thread @Rumpoleoftheballet ...

I have been looking for a new one as well this year .

Confident is looking like a good one for us , so thank you for whoever mentioned it.

Outsmarted needed a bit of time to set up if I remember correctly?🤔.

It is not an " open box and play " type of game for 1st use !

Don't be put of the game by needing the board on the table .

We play without the board !

We all love rumicub and uno.
I like risk but no one will play it with me anymore.

Quirkle - very easy to understand, but makes you think and plan.
Azul - more a game of strategy, but again you have to think and plan.
Mexican Train - played with big dominos. Easy to understand but again strategic and makes you think.

Sorry not read PPs but Sequence is amazing - and addictive.

Exploding Kittens

Card game but skyjo is excellent and can be played by up to 8 people.

Carcassonne, Chameleon, Cobra paw, Codenames, Perudo (liar dice). Love letter. Camel cup. Dixit.

Perudo or Liar as my family know it is excellent!

The Mind.

I love this game!

Shoot for the stars. It is a number based guessing game, and doesn't actually require any knowledge, but is good fun with an age range. You can just team up if necessary.
