My dh was agog at them . They are just plain weird .

Those shelves obviously contain all the books he's read about being a good prime minister.

I remember during covid looking at what people had on their shelves was quite a thing.

NO idea what message Mr Blair was trying to send. Very odd.

With the gold it looks like a shop, you'd expect a pair of shoes on each shelf or something.

He's asked an intern to quickly put up some books on the empty shelves behind him before the call, and these were all the readers digests they could find in three minutes

I assumed it was a fake (but odd!) background that you get on teams/zoom calls. It's a privacy measure.

Also, what is behind the bookshelves? Zooming in on the gap isn't helping.

I thought it looked like it wasn't in his home, more like it was an office building. There were pillars between the bookshelves, but not a solid wall, and you could see there was a room/space behind them

The gap on the left looks a bit like someone naked bending over and you can see the curve of their buttocks. That might just be me though.

He is in his wardrobe and he has had to replace his shoes with books otherwise he’ll look weird.
