To ask you guys to give me some positive news?

Just as I've said cheer me up with some positive stuff !

I thought about cancelling my cervical smear 150 times in the hour before my app and I did it and I strutted out that GP practice not actually feeling abused for the first time

Thats positive for me!

My DD is 1 week old today and sound asleep on my chest. I’m so in love.

I had cheese fondue for dinner and it was a marvel.

My sons are coming home from college in a week and I cant wait!! And tomorrow I am having dinner with my best friend from high school.

Most people are decent and kind. Most people enjoy life. Most people love their spouse/partner, parents, kids and extended family.

There is a paper called the happy newspaper and it only prints positive stories.

There is lots of good stuff out there. Sorry if you are having a rough time. If it’s a media thing then the New Scientist is fully of amazing people doing brilliant things even if subject is tough eg climate

Was so happy today after watching my 2 year olds reaction to seeing snow for the first time. He did a thorough examination of it and decided that walking over untrodden snow is the best thing ever😁

All the snow today made me feel really Christmassy so I put up my Christmas tree and it looks beautiful.

My (vv lazy) 11 month old DD crawled today. Not backwards, she’s decided to skip that part, but forwards towards anything that takes her eye. I was squealing with excitement so she sat up and clapped. I was in tears, safe to say

Had a lovely dinner with my gorgeous 22 year old niece who I don't get to see very often. She is growing up to be a lovely, kind and witty young woman and it has been one of the joys of my life to be a teeny tiny part of her journey.

Thanks for this thread. I've been feeling very negative this week (it's only Tuesday!) so also need some positivity.

For me - despite feeling/knowing I've been doing a crap job at work recently I've had some really good/nice feedback in the last week.

I was absolutely freezing today and so finally got round to making hot chocolate with a bit of cornflour added (in the microwave to make it extra simple).

As I’m rubbish in the kitchen I was thrilled that it actually turned out thick, creamy and chocolatey. And really hot.

Thank you for these it's really gave me a wonderful warm feeling! Also thank you for the recommendations as it has been the news stuff getting me down 😔

I have just undergone breast cancer and a mastectony with lymphs nodes. My results are clear. No cancer left. Just 6 months of immunotherapy to go and reconstruction. Life is good

Just remember that there are far more good people out there than bad, they just don’t make the news as often. They just squirrel away making the world a better place ❤️

My big boss (I'm a landlady of a pub, but have someone I am answerable to at the pub company) came today and I dread it.
I never get told anything positive, I work 18 hour days right now and it's quite demoralising.

However, today he said I was doing "exceptionally well" and takings are "well up". He actually said on the way out to keep up the good work.

I could've fainted.

I'm in bed now in fresh sheets, freshly washed pj's, my heavy winter duvet is on and I've got mumsnet and big mug of tea- I feel as snug as a bug in a rug.

I have OCD, and today I managed to do something that my OCD told me this morning I could absolutely not do. It went fine, and I'm so relieved. Looking forward to a good and productive day tomorrow, too!

My 5 year old played 3 notes really beautifully on her recorder today. She's practiced really carefully :)

I am lying in a warm newly made bed! Utter joy.

Oh and my next door neighbour has just delivered a baby! Which is always happy news 😀
