To think that Victoria Wood's Pat and Margaret is just sublime

I'm watching it on YouTube at the moment. So many laughs and yet so many lump in throat moments. Superb acting.
Anyone else watched it?

Yes! Loved it. I wasn't expecting it to be so sad at points. She was a wonderful writer.

Every time anyone mentions Victoria Wood, I just think

"beat me on the bottom with a Women's Weekly".

I loved Dinner Ladies.

She went too soon.

Yes! Several times and it still makes me smile.

I love Victoria Wood. Love dinnerladies. Very funny. That show was the breakthrough show for Maxine Peake.

There's the bit in the hotel, when Margaret is trying to make the best of it and talking about pillows and her voice just breaks and falters. Brought tears to my eyes.

Of all the too-early celebrity deaths in that crazy year, 2016, Victoria Wood's was the one I found most upsetting. Brilliant writer and performer.

You can absolutely see how Dinner Ladies came about.

I just love the character development of the two sisters, particularly Pat. And also when she gets jet washed and has to end up wearing a shell suit 🙂

Love Victoria Wood. I really enjoyed Pat and Margaret. Loved Housewife,49 and That day we sang. I also really liked Eric and Ernie where she played Eric Morecambe’s mum.
