Slim shaming ok?

Recently I’ve been unwell and work has been hard. Some people eat when stressed. I’m the opposite. I’ve lost weight I feel awful nothing fits.

I’ve found people take the mick, stick legs, do you eat?

Honest question, would telling someone - “you’ve put on weight”, “ you’ve got tree trunk legs” be acceptable?

It feels fair game to offend someone who is clearly struggling being under weight but massively offensive to openly criticise someone overweight.

I’d really like to hear your views.

This post might make you feel better. The op was very anti fat but you can see other posters said that their experience as fat people suggested that fat people do get bullied. However the op was absolutely convinced that all fat people were just jealous bitches and that skinny people
Have it so much worse

Some people, really do think it’s ok, to say to mainly women, who they perceive as too thin, you need to eat more or you look haggard! On a recent thread people were commenting on women being too thin, a size 16/18 normal, U.S size 6 which is a uk size 10, is too thin, apparently.
In a workplace, if someone said, how much do you eat! Or you’re too fat! they would be reported, as it’s obviously wrong, the same wouldn’t apply, if the comments were you look like a stick, unwell, eat more. It’s not ok to comment on anyone’s weight, is the whole point. The person receiving the ‘too thin’ comments, are just supposed to accept them, but can be equally hurtful.

its very immature to make comments on any one’s appearance, how anyone looks is no one’s business but your own. Don’t let it get to you.
