Ask for Angela?

They were just talking on the radio and saying that you can ask for Angela at a pub or venue and that means you need help, feel unsafe.

Bar staff are meant to be trained to understand its a code word for I need help.
However when tested many bar staff didn't know what it meant.

They thought they were asking if Angela the bar maid was on?
One said no, she's not working today. Whoops.

😀😥

Yeah. And because it's so well known dangerous men know what it means. I've seen posters in local pub/restaurant toilets with their own phrase to use which I think is much better

Well it always used to be on the back of the cubicle door in the ladies toilets where men couldn't see it..........

Good. Does seem pointless putting it where men can see it.
