TW death etc I think it’s a conspiracy theory but I’m afraid to google!

someone was telling me about embalmers having to pull ‘stuff’ out of the veins since Covid/vaxines.

My natural instinct is to declare it total guff. Generally I’d use snopes or similar. But I don’t want to read conspiracy nonsense!

Are we experiencing unusual deaths since Covid/vaccines? I have a relative with an unexpected, unusual heart condition.
Could anyone oblige with actual information rather than conspiracy theories? To be honest I think I am being v v unreasonable to ask but I’m mulling on it.

The burden of proof is on those making the claims. Would be lovely to see some links to back up the various claims made? Say it, prove it? That's generally how it works; not, say it then tell everyone else to go find what you claim. You obviously haven't studied at least at university level, have you?

No I haven't been indoctrinated thanks

You think level 6 study is 'indoctrination'?!

Oh dear. I meant understanding how research works. How research is published and critiqued, peer reviewed etc.

Making a claim about something you've read and not linking said 'research' evidence so people can read and see the entire paper. Not just how someone interprets or often misinterprets or takes a line out of context (which has occurred on this thread already). Then it can be discussed and challenged if need be.

The sloppy 'I read X and he said Y so it must be true, go Google it yourself approach, is very secondary school. At a higher level uou would be robustly a d rightfully challenged to produce what you claim. It's clear that posters are not used to that.

HippoCamping · 12/11/2024 15:44

So let me see.

So far the anti vaxxers who support ‘threads being pulled out of veins??? by embalmers’ also

  1. have presented a government document as ‘proof’ while blatantly misreading and misinterpreting the document (although that’s all gone a bit tumbleweed now)

  2. have named an unknown professor, with no link to any study : and ungoogle-able name that no one has ever heard of

  3. are resorting to jolly political memes.

Brilliant!! Of course professors around the world (with years of experience and qualifications) should be shunned in favour of these pearls of wisdom!!

Notmoog · 12/11/2024 15:53

"You obviously haven't studied at least at university level, have you?"

this person is baffled as to why I called them rude!

Notmoog · 12/11/2024 15:54

"have named an unknown professor, with no link to any study : and ungoogle-able name that no one has ever heard of"

is your google broken as their name/ research comes up when I google it?

SilenceInside · 12/11/2024 16:03

@Notmoog link it then. I've already said that no such research was easily found with a decent internet search. I could find a science professor at a Lebanese university with a similar name spelt differently but at this point I have no idea if that's the person the other poster meant.

Try using duck duck go or brave to search. Google is really biased :)

You called me rude. Yes I am baffled why you called me rude.

and I didn’t say what you claimed I have said at all. I didn’t mention university level.

SilenceInside · 12/11/2024 16:14

@Cappuccinowithonesugarplease sorry to disappoint but DuckDuckGo comes up with zip too. Actually lots of articles about why there isn't a link between covid vaccines and the sudden deaths of athletes.

SilenceInside · 12/11/2024 16:16

Ditto for the Brave search too. Results all very similar between the three, Google, DDG and Brave.

Cappuccinowithonesugarplease · 12/11/2024 16:19

You're not getting it,
There have been plenty of top doctors and scientists blowing the whistle over the past few years but its very hard to show you proof because most of it has been removed.
Neil Oliver has talked about it a lot,
Rumble and brand new tube is full of information, but you probably won't even look at it because it's not 'mainstream' enough.
At the end of the day you choose what to believe based on critical thinking. You can Carry on believing the British Bullshit Corporation and such like if you want.
The fact is that most people have been brainwashed and refuse to question otherwise.
You know there was a Facebook group for people who had suffered from the vaccination and lost loved ones? But suprise suprise it got taken down like many other things.

SilenceInside · 12/11/2024 16:23

No one here is using the BBC as a source of scientific information. People are asking for the actual research that someone has claimed has been published. Neil Oliver is a TV presenter and archaeologist, not an expert in anything related to this field. He won't have published any research.

I'm sorry that you think that most people are brainwashed. It must be a very difficult life to live if that's what you genuinely believe.

Not difficult at all. I'm much happier being awake.

I'm bemused by your lack of understanding as to what research evidence actually means. Still waiting for you and other poster to produce your evidence. I suspect a long wait whilst you complain about someone challenging you, divert and generally do anything but. Pretty typical really 🙄 but there you go. Anything substantial or just a whinge about being challenged?

Oh my gosh. Rabbit Hole has swallowed you. Russell Brand! 🤣🤣🤣 good grief!

Where are your published peer reviewed research papers for evidence? Links to those please.

What are you on about. No one has asked for the BBC etc that is not what is being requested.

You do know what published peer reviewed research is, don't you? I'm beginning to wonder!

But I am questioning and asking. I'm not accepting anything, I'm asking for the evidence to support you. I always question. When someone is unable or unwilling to answer then it appears they know little about the subject. Cut the soundbites and catch phrases and actually post links to the evidence that supports what you suggest. Is there any?

Cappuccinowithonesugarplease · 12/11/2024 16:36

Not difficult at all. I'm much happier being awake.

Since you're so 'awake' then kindly share with us whom you seem to think are 'asleep' the evidence to support your claims. You know proper peer reviewed, published research. Not youtube ramblings of a celebrity.

Notmoog · 12/11/2024 17:21

you forgot the word robust

So are you saying Google is biased and hides the research evidence. Since you have seen this 'evidence ' then kindly help by sharing it. Is that so difficult to do? You know share the link to the peer reviewed, published research..... 🙄

HippoCamping · 12/11/2024 17:23

This gets better.

We should all be listening to Neil Oliver and Rumble.
This is what they should be rolling out in school science lessons!
Throw the textbooks out, sod degrees, doctorates and PHD’s - and let’s get ready to Rumble.
First lesson : how to pull stuff out of veins…

Second lesson : the swerve. If someone calls you out, don’t respond, change topic and stick your fingers in your ears…

Third lesson : the art of making up random studies with professor-name-generator to ‘back’ whatever rubbish that enters your head

Aibuforthisthought · 12/11/2024 17:26

Notmoog · 12/11/2024 15:54

"have named an unknown professor, with no link to any study : and ungoogle-able name that no one has ever heard of"

is your google broken as their name/ research comes up when I google it?

So share your research evidence then.

This is really hard work.

You say you have seen it, share the link, rather than doing everything but. You'd help your cause if you shared the peer reviewed published research evidence rather than going round in circles 🙄

HippoCamping · 12/11/2024 17:27

And then you switch all the teachers round. Clearly the Geography teacher should be teaching Biology…
