Could you be with a man who would have voted Trump?

Just that really.

My husband doesn't love Trump exactly but said tonight he would have voted for him and he hopes Trump will "dismantle the deep state".

Could you be with a Trump voter? Interested in people's views.

Donald Trump's victory speech: Full transcript | CTV News
Here is the transcript of his victory speech.
I cannot fathom what he is actually planning to do in any concrete terms except stop illegals. Somehow. And Make America Great Again. I'm not sure what that means in concrete terms either.

He was very clear:

We're going to fix our borders, we're going to fix everything about our country;

I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve, and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America. That's what we have to have.

He's going to fix everything wrong with America and not rest until America is strong, safe and prosperous.

Female Trump supporters really have NO idea how much he utterly despises them, do they? They line right up to be used. I only hope they learn through not too bitter experience.

Male Trump supporters know how much he despises women, which is why they vote for him. Every man jack of them is a woman hater and rapist apologist/ aspirant. They should come with a health warning.

@Bixterret farage is a bullshitter that is what he does he lies big time he's like his mate Donald who has been fact checked since 2016 has told over 30000 lies

Farage is the only politician who stands by what he says and will give you a straight answer. He's a businessman too, not just a glorified schoolboy.

Starmer is out of his depth.

Are you one of the posters who is having trouble getting their menopause hormone patch to stick hun?

Clearinguptheclutter · 07/11/2024 07:43

There have been lots of these threads about Brexit too.
For me, just no
but political beliefs are quite important to me.

I think they’re the wrong sex to have a menopause.

TheRestIsEntertainment · 07/11/2024 07:48

Of course not. I prefer my men with an IQ of over 50.

Divorce him then and go back in the pond and see what you can get.

Reading this nonsense. Best laugh I've had all week!

I agree but exactly how does that make them evil incarnate as so many people say that they are? I'm genuinely confused...every thing they say is a bit potty, sorta monster raving looney, but not a reason for the reaction.

Because Reform is a racist party. I don't even think Reform is registered as a political party but as a limited company. Nigel Farage is known for his racist and anti-semitic views and he demonstrated these at school according to his fellow pupils and former teachers when he used to taunt Jewish classmates and sing Hitler Youth songs.

Carouselfish · 07/11/2024 08:22

But how will he manage to do that where everyone before him has failed? What miracles can he work? What is his actual plan? You are expecting a lot from someone who was handed a fortune and managed to bugger up his businesses again and again.

Pussycatmom · 07/11/2024 08:35

Yep

Annabella92 · 07/11/2024 08:43

Wouldn't bother me. Some smug, sneery, sanctimonious liberal would be a huge deal breaking turnoff though.

It's going to be a government for the rich by the rich. Elon Musk is proposing $2 trillion in spending cuts. It's going to be a wild ride!

Beezknees · 07/11/2024 08:48

No, I would not. I don't care how much money a man makes or how tall he is, but our world views would have to align.

KnittingKnotting · 07/11/2024 08:58

It depends on their reasons for voting for him. If it’s for financial/ economic/business reasons or due to wanting kids protected from trans ideology, then I’d be fine with that, not so much for some of his behaviours.

There is rarely a party/politician that I fully agree with, and sometimes if a couple of issues are big ones for someone, they’ll vote for someone that they disagree with some things on.

ByMerryKoala · 07/11/2024 09:04

I'd rather marry a man who read both the manifestos and chose Trump than a man who couldn't be arsed to read anything and chose Harris.

I loathe this kind of 'clever' comment.

If you can't see this is just as misogynistic as you claim Trump to be (and ageist to boot) you are just as bad as that kind of person. "Be kind" in bloody action, unless you are talking to a woman who might be old enough to be menopausal.

MorrisZapp · 07/11/2024 09:18

No, but my 14 year old son informed me 'Trump isn't that bad, he's the only one that didn't start any wars' so I guess I have tiktok to thank for that pish.

Newbutoldfather · 07/11/2024 09:24

If you can’t understand why someone can have a different view to you and still respect them for it, you are very narrow minded and bigoted.

There are some reasons I might have voted for Trump (growth agenda, less regulation, not wanting to subsidise NATO, anti woke agenda) and some reasons I might have voted for Kamala (abortion rights, ability to act like a normal politician, nicer and more honourable person).

Interestingly the stock market partied like 1999 on Trump’s win, hardly an ignorant constituency.

If I lived in the U.S, I would have really struggled to choose but probably the Capitol riot would have pushed me reluctantly to Kamala.

But I get both sides of the debate and have friends passionately pro and anti Trump.

Show me where this is fact?

Otherwise it's just libellous.

Absolutely not.
