Yep

Yep

Is it wise to test again or just call the doctors?

Positive. Self refer on your local hospital website you don’t need to call GP.

Girlsxo · 05/11/2024 23:27

Okay thankyou, I just can't get my head around it. I thought it was extremely rare to get pregnant on the implant

Kmward36 · 05/11/2024 23:28

I had the implant and whilst on it got pregnant. She’s currently 4 years old 😂. Still not a clue how it happened!

Girlsxo · 05/11/2024 23:30

Omg! It's meant to be the most effective form of contraception. I've been stressing so badly!

OP posts:
Wibblywobblybobbly · 05/11/2024 23:34

From that line I'd say you're not very far along. Does that sound right?

Girlsxo · 05/11/2024 23:36

From my calculation I'm around 3-4 weeks pregnant, is it best to test again or seek advice from doctor, I am quite worried about it all and in disbelief. I've had alot of symptoms over the last week or so

OP posts:
flowersintheattix · 05/11/2024 23:42

I would test again in the morning if you can. I had a very similar looking test last year (I have the mirena) No pregnancy though, just a faulty test since all others were definitely negative. Good luck and hope you get the result you're happy with.

Girlsxo · 06/11/2024 10:54

I've had all the symptoms, especially frequent urination even in the night which is unlike me I normally sleep straight through. My boob's are so sore and I've been feeling quite tired. I'm normally on my period around now and still no sign of it, I also didn't think you could get false postives (very rare) as it's only postive when it detects hcg. I'm just so confused.

OP posts:
Cece92 · 06/11/2024 10:56

That's definitely positive! Congratulations. X

Girlsxo · 06/11/2024 11:01

Thankyou I'm just worried!

There is a slightly higher risk of an ectopic pregnancy with the implant in, it would be worth perhaps calling your local early pregnancy unit and getting some advice they may do an early scan to check its in the right place

Girlsxo · 06/11/2024 16:41

Okay thankyou

Just an update and in need of advice again, I took another test today and it was negative. Can anyone help? In doing out my mind

TheKitchenSink34 · 06/11/2024 23:15

Call your GP tomorrow and explain you've had conflicting tests, they'll either invite you to see the GP or refer you to your local pregnancy unit and they can double check.

flowersintheattix · 06/11/2024 23:34

That's exactly what happened with me too as per my previous post. I remember how confusing it felt! I'd had all the symptoms which is why I tested, and then the two different results had me so anxious. I went to my GP who did a test there and then, negative, and advised probably a faulty test. False positives can be so upsetting. Cuddles to you OP Flowers

That test is not a very dark positive - I assume you took it this morning? Your urine is more concentrated in the morning so try another when you wake up.

I’m just trying to say that might be why your test this evening was negative. It is indeed very rare to have a false positive.

Girlsxo · 07/11/2024 01:18

Yes it's extremely rare isn't it. I will test again in the morning and see the result of that and then call my GP I am starting ti get worried now.

Hard but no contraception is 100% foolproof except a hysterectomy.

flowersintheattix · 07/11/2024 15:19

Hope you're ok @Girlsxo

Normally you wouldn't go to doctor's this early on, they would only see you at about 10 weeks, but since you are on the implant, I'd say go to the GP as I'm not sure how the implant affects pregnancy?
Good luck!

OopsyDaisie · 07/11/2024 15:27

Read your update that you tested negative after this one, it could have been a missed miscarriage, I would test again a couple of days....
