Every day, every single day and sometimes several times a day there are threads from women with useless fucking waste of space partners and fathers to their children who seem to have just opted out of adult life.
Just read another one, father never does anything at all with his 5 year old child. Then she drops in that he doesn't contribute financially either.
For fucks sake women. This is not Afghanistan. You don't have to fucking whisper. Get rid of the tossers. Your children will thank you.

I remember that one, it was horrendous. That poor girl. The correct response from her mother would have been “you are absolutely not taking over our daughter’s pizza party Cedric, now please get out of the kitchen” and if he wouldn’t, I’d have taken the girls off to the nearest pizza restaurant.

For over a 100 years women have campaigned and won agency over their lives yet still get with a bloke who is waving more red flags than a Chinese military display yet come on MN complaining he is a shit.
Men used to argue that women didn't have the intellect to run their lives, yet 100plus years later, some women are determined to still prove the old theories right. It is infuriating.

I think the fact that transgender people are more likely to suffer violence or harassment in almost any place in the world than straight or even gay people is worth discussing, but we certainly don't need to discuss it every week for the rest of eternity.

I agree with this. There are a hell of a lot of women out there who would rather be in a relationship,ANY relationship,than none at all. And if that relationship is totally shit,they just put up with it. A few years ago,after several short term and one long term relationship,I reached the conclusion that I was better off on my own. I'm sick of needy, demanding men. Maybe I've been unlucky or I've just got shit taste in men but every man I was with either let me down repeatedly,wanted me to pay for everything,or expected me to look after them (despite having several ill health issues myself), wanting me to cook them dinner every night and do all their laundry. After I'd split up with the last one (8 years ago) I thought 'Enough'. And I can honestly say I am much much happier.

I think some of it comes down to not wanting to be a lonely old woman that people consider to be invisible, and/or completely mad.

A lot of times I read that they can't leave because financially it can't work, and this is why Mumsnetters often go on about retaining a career or job after children - you don't know what will happen in the future.

I've thought about a stock answer about telling women that they have a voice and confronting things isn't this big scary thing.
