Not a single supermarket near me has any, Tescos said out for 3 weeks in every branch for 50 miles and no expected in date.

Really fancied some for lunch 🤨

Went down a rabbit whole on this 😂 need to stock up on other dips as apparently the strike will cause all sorts of issues over Christmas. Trying to find out if the manufacturer is also who makes hummus and tsatsiki, if it is I’ll contact the employer myself! 😂

I love the stuff, yes the fake pink coloured sludge from UK supermarkets. Now I’m going to have to get some tomorrow! Usually it’s the warm weather that gets me buying it, so maybe it’s more of a seasonal thing?

Do they still have it though, as in the last few weeks?

I believe the shortage is due to a strike the major production site.

I had a breakthrough on this last week, found some in my local larger Sainsbury’s! It was Odysea brand, rather than supermarket own brand, which still seems to be out of stock.

Industrial action at Bakkavor, a large supplier of the fish roe dip, has caused a “short disruption” to the supply and availability of taramasalata at supermarkets across the country. Employees at Bakkavor's Spalding site in the Midlands launched strike action about six weeks ago over pay.😉

I feel that I need to report back on the taramasalata situation. There is LOADS of the stuff in Sainsbury's, both the fake pink own-brand and the Odysea slightly posher version. Bought the Odysea, will report back on the taste.

It's now back in the shops! Very strange it did disappear from most supermarkets... Crisis?
