Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

Or they can't give in to every chancer and crackpot out there.

I haven’t heard that there are many people claiming C & C as their parents. But I might be wrong? I’ve just heard for years about this one. And there is enough in his story to make me wonder.

Make you wonder what? Just because he's persistent? If they give in to utter nonsense like this, then it'll open the floodgates for chancers and fraudsters everywhere.
Oh, and it won't conclude anything, because the inevitable negative result would be dismissed as a conspiracy by these kind of people who will just deny it. Best ignore.

Geminijes · 19/10/2024 16:40

He’s not King Charles and Camilla’s son. He knows of his birth family.

Read the Facebook page ‘The Fake Prince Down Under - The Research’.

His birth sister has offered to do a DNA test but he refuses.

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 16:42

There is enough in his history for make me wonder if it is true. The circumstances make it definitely possible. It is absolutely not beyond the bounds of possibility. It would be so easy for them to disprove it yet they don’t. I don’t think giving basic DNA evidence would open the floodgates to lots and lots of potential C & C off spring chancing their arm at the throne lol…. It is a null argument.

MayaKovskaya · 19/10/2024 16:45

Well. I don't think that you should do something just to temporarily shut up a person who clearly needs help, but that's just my opinion. I don't think you should ever give in to this sort of person.
Plus: it's been explained many times on here - no-one making such claims would have any claim to the throne. None.

That would be the help he needs to move on. Simple test. Sorts it all out. Or the RF don’t want it sorted out because they know the truth.

Or they don’t want it sorted out because they know it’s codswallop and it would open the gates to hundreds of other similar requests. It could be either or.

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 16:50

I very much doubt there would be hundreds of similar requests? Meanwhile their DNA would be available to fend them all off. These hundreds of people claiming to be their children?

Lots of delusional people out there. If they know full well they did not have this child why would they dignify the request with dna tests? I bloody wouldn’t.

Attelina · 19/10/2024 16:58

I think the relative spun him this story as he was adopted thinking it would give him something to daydream about, like the tooth fairy or Father Christmas and didn't think he would carry on with the belief.

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 16:59

There’s lots going on there. Andrew Parker Bowles marrying camilla when he had been princess annes boyfriend at the time (so I understand). Camilla not being seen as suitable for PC. All very incestuous because it has to be. Keeping everything enclosed with people they know so they don’t speak to outsiders. Princess Anne apparently very good friends with APB now. And PC married to Camilla. A little enclosed circle.

CatchOnToYersel · 19/10/2024 17:03

We have all seen what happens when you open up the circle a tiny bit.

With a clear exception to the rule of course.

Camilla didn't want to marry Charles in the 1970s. She was in love with Andrew Parker Bowles, who was much better-looking, considered the ultimate 'catch' in her circles, and didn't come with all the royal baggage.

she couldn’t marry Charles as she wasn’t a virgin ironically.

She could have, if they'd both really wanted it. Her 'past' wouldn't have been considered ideal but there'd have been nothing technically to stop it.

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 17:11

He was very conditioned to do what he had to do for the crown.

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 17:12

obviously while also doing whatever he wanted in private.

It's not incestuous. They weren't blood relations.
It's not illegal to have relationships with people that you know or your siblings have met. Let's not over egg this particular pudding....

Apologies, i didn’t literally mean incestuous. I should have said in-bred or in-house or a word that means ‘very close-knit circles’.

His birth sister also looks a great deal more like him than he does Charles or Camilla.

He says he was subjected to surgery as a child to change his eye colour from blue to brown. There are pictures of him as a toddler, before the surgery is meant to have taken place, with brown eyes. From what I've read he knows who his birth family are and although with all of us there's the possibility of doubt, there really is nothing to suggest he's Charles and Camilla's, at all. His story isn't even straight regarding how and when he was "told" by his grandmother.

Agreed best ignored otherwise they'll be doing DNA tests for every crackpot and chancer on Earth.

BattedAnEyebrow · 19/10/2024 17:19

It's ridiculous to suggest that anyone, king and queen or not, should do a DNA test to stop some bloke on the other side of the world thinking he is their son. A son that they both know doesn't exist.

And as if he would just believe a negative DNA test. He would just think or say it was a conspiracy.

CecilyP · 19/10/2024 17:19

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 16:26

I think there should be a dna test to say yes or no. There is a small possibility that prince Charles, as a 16 year old heir to the throne could have had an illegitimate child with Camilla who was around in his social circle and who he quite clearly fancied from an early age. For it to be hushed up and hidden fits in with the family ‘principles’. That man deserves some sort of closure.

No he doesn’t. Camilla knows perfectly well that she didn’t have a baby in 1966, so why should C & C pander to this man’s delusions. It is completely different if a woman names the father and asks for a DNA test for a baby she has definitely given birth to and
