Anyone else prefer a heavy man to a skinny man?

Just that really. Just watching a video of Luke Combs. He’s heavy but sexy! My DH is heavy and 6 ft 3. Wouldn’t swap him for a skinny man ever!!

Ffs. Of course we all have preferences but if we wouldn't want men starting this kind of thread about women then we should not be starting them about men.

KungFuKitten · 19/10/2024 09:38

I think men think the same too . They like curves on a woman .

I disagree. It would be interesting as I'm sure men have different preferences too. There's some one from every one out there.

I would have zero issues with men having a thread the same as this, with the exception of judgemental and critical posters of any gender - I personally don't like skinny legs on a man and prefer a chunkier body, but I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a skinny man. So long as it's just stating personal preference, there's nothing to object to. There are some overly critical and unpleasant posters here, and that's not OK, but that was also not the intention of the thread.

bryceQ · 19/10/2024 09:52

To be honest i prefer a healthy weight. My dad was overweight growing up and has struggled with weight and health conditions his whole life. Needed a knee replacement at 55. He seems so much older than he is because of excess weight so no i wouldn't want this in a husband. I'm pleased mine is a healthy weight.

Skyrainlight · 19/10/2024 10:07

We need a middle option, I don't like fat or skinny.

Dawevi · 19/10/2024 10:27

Nope. I don't like fat and I don't like scruffy.

This is my ideal body type, toned with muscles but not bodybuilder shape.

Anyone else prefer a heavy man to a skinny man?
gannett · 19/10/2024 10:31

Toned, athletic and slim is my preference but I'd take skinny with no muscles over bodybuilder-style muscles or a heavier/chunkier man. I like a man to have some delicacy about his features or body.

Hoppinggreen · 19/10/2024 10:32

DS is 15 but 6ft 2 and while he isn't fat he is very solid and wide
Of course I think hes gorgeous but I asked his sister objectively as we were having a conversation about his friends getting girlfriends etc and DD18 said that at the moment the type is very much skinny boys/men who look a bit effemintate (Timothee Chalamet etc) so someone who looks like a lumberjack isn't in vogue.
DH is a similar build and Its certainly my preference.

Because all men think exactly the same. 🙄Of course they don't, not all men find overweight women attractive. Men, just like women, have different tastes, amazingly enough.

GG1986 · 19/10/2024 11:13

Yup I'm not a fan of skinny men, I don't like overly muscular either. So I guess that means I like a "dad bod"?

CaptainSeven · 19/10/2024 11:20

I like a big boy!

My DH is 6'4 and heavy/fat. He could lose 2 or 3 stones and still be chunky. I'd like him to lose those for his health no other reason.

Intelligence and kindness attract me more than looks though.

I prefer rugby players to footballers in terms of physique.

Love Henry Cavill (he appears intelligent, kind and gentlemanly)

Both 'skinny' and 'heavy' women can have curves.

Babbahabba · 19/10/2024 11:38

Not too bothered about body as long as someone isn't very skinny or very fat. Don't mind slim blokes or those with a bit of chub.

Yep. All men like the same thing. 🙃

CandidaAlbicans2 · 19/10/2024 17:08

We can't help what we find sexually attractive and what we find a turn off visually. I happen to be sexually attracted to men who are bigger and stronger than me (not difficult really as I'm 5'6" and 9st), and I find excess fat a turn off. I don't want to see rolls of fat or a beer belly when they're naked, but I'm also not into small framed, bony men either. Just average build, with natural toned muscles eg from manual labour or callisthenics rather than bulk from hours in the gym.
It's not about the look for me though as I'd find a man with my ideal body unappealing as a partner if he had a shit diet for example. It's the combo of looks and a decent attitude to health that I like.

rooshoe · 19/10/2024 17:53

@WhatAreYouListeningTo he didn't look overweight to me, though actual weight has never been discussed. He's done it to be lean = low % of body fat, hence his face looks gaunt. He is leaving carbs on the side of his plate and occasionally fainting in the morning. I call it pensioner chic.

BruFord · 19/10/2024 20:42

@CandidaAlbicans2 I’m similar, small-framed myself and wowed by big strong men with broad shoulders. I don’t personally feel attracted to leanness or delicate features-no idea why, I’ve always been this way. My first bf was a rugby player and I’ve always gone for that type!

Easipeelerie · 19/10/2024 08:06

No, not a fan of a fat man. I imagine there’ll be more farts and body odour. I make an exception for Garron Noone from Tik Tok. He’s lovely.

One could say he’s delicious.

CrispyCrumpets · 19/10/2024 21:52

This thread goes to show there is someone for everyone!

Marine30 · 19/10/2024 21:55

In the middle is good; not skinny, not too beefy. My friend said she’d never date a man who had thinner thighs than her. She had a good point.
