Weird chest pain today

I'm having this weird chest pain today and I don't know what to make of it.

I noticed it earlier when taking a depth breath. It's quite sore. The top of my back feels a bit sore and then this soreness, especially when breathing in.

But also just feels generally sore.

I don't really think it warrants the doc yet.

Has anyone else had this ? It's mainly sore when taking deep breaths.

Have you been given painkillers? I hope you feel a lot more comfortable soon!

Have had costochondritis a few times. It normally takes 3-4 days to settle for me. I take anti-inflammartries and pain relief. Was advised by the hospital to always get it checked out. Try not to lift anything and don't turn your upper half turn your whole body. Good luck

It was 8 weeks before I could take a deep breath, they gave me codeine (I can't take ibuprofen) and I had to rest. I spent at least an hour a day lying on a heat pad. I'm also having tests for rheumatism.

I was given codein but it hasn't helped

Ive have Costochondritis on and off for a couple of years. My GP said it can take ages for the pain to go. I was given Codeine and a strong ibuprofen gel to rub on the area. The gel works a treat!! X

I'd ask for some Zapain.
