The news of storm Milton heading into Florida is absolutely horrific.
Category 6 storm due to hit tonight with 6 million evacuated. The worst reported in over 100 years.
Some people have been unable to leave and have been told that they will die in their homes. To write their names and DOBS on their bodies with marker pens so that they can be identified.
Imagine being forced to flee your home with the understanding that it won't be there when you get back.
Where have they relocated hospital patients? People living in care homes?
Children's schools are going to be decimated.
I can't fathom it.
It's incredible that technology has enabled humans to be able to predict this - but it's like watching a huge tragedy unfold in slow motion.
