Why do people post every single day about their holiday on Facebook?

You know the ones who go away and give you a blow by blown account every day on what they are doing, where they are eating etc, sometimes multiple times a day.
Are friends expected to read it all and like every single post?

What happened to privacy, what happened to telling people about it when you get home?
Not against it totally, but several times a day, what's wrong with them?
They seem unable to enjoy a holiday without broadcasting every single thing. It's horrible the way FB has got to some people!!

I regularly post on fb (not so much as I’ve got older, used to be a serial poster in my late teens!!) but now I’m married with 3 kids I post updates about he kids & how they’re doing, I have family abroad that love to see the updates…when we go away I rarely post whilst away but I do post an ‘album’ of the trip when I get home. Also when I post on FB, a lot of it I do because I love looking back at memories…I have videos / photos of my kids that pop up years later that I’ve completely forgotten about & they always bring a smile to my face!

I love seeing others People’s holidays, I have a map with places I like the look of saved so if I’m ever in that place / country I have a list of recommended things to do / places to stay and eat. Also, FB will keep the memory of those travels alive every year so I think some use it as a diary.

I love following people's holidays. We can't go away so I enjoy seeing others having a good time and experiencing different locations.

I don’t post anything while on holiday unless someone is literally staying in my house. That said I post literally a handful of photos. I think people are braggy unfortunately or they’re super excited, but either way no one needs to see so may. Save it for a private album.
