What colour are my eyes?

I have been told they're multiple colours from people over the years. I have no idea what they are! My dc told me they're yellow? 🤣

Mine are similar and no-one seems to be able to agree either. Mine are mostly green with a small halo of brown round the iris but with a rim of grey round the outer edge. I thought mine were hazel, but maybe not.

Sorry but I get what PP are saying about boring. These threads come up all the time and it’s cringe. I have no idea why fishing for compliments about eye colour are a thing, but they clearly are!

eyes are three colours:

-the grey blue eye colour shade
-dark brown that you can’t see through at all
-in between - the mix of brown with the ‘eye colour’ blue/grey. Hazel, green, whatever.

none of it is interesting or ‘different’ and these threads are full of people posting pictures of their perfectly boring bloody hazel eyes going ‘oh mine are really unusual, everyone mentions them, they have this very strange yet so oddly beautiful ring of green/brown/mango orange blah blah’

No, your eyes look like loads of other eyes. Focus on something else.

Sorry! It's not a scary thing, just the name of the dark outer ring on eyes which have it.

If you find it boring, why bother reading and posting on it? There are tons of other threads on all sorts of subjects. I just ignore ones which don't interest me, but it's fine if others are interested.

Hazel. Brown & Green combination. Very unique colour! Green eyes are the rarest. My family have a combination of all! I'm "blue/green", next brother is dark blue/grey. Next two are light blue 🩵

Our perception of colour is dependent on current light conditions, and colours adjacent, so it could absolutely appear that eyes change colour.

Bizarrely your eyes are incredibly like both my granddaughters. The girls are chalk and cheese kids. One fair, one dark but they have these unusual grey/hazel eyes.

Hazel eyes, in my experience they're pretty common! Both DH and I have hazel eyes and a good proportion of my family and friends - I'm suprised anyone consides them unusual.
