What colour are my eyes?

I have been told they're multiple colours from people over the years. I have no idea what they are! My dc told me they're yellow? 🤣

They are hazel. My beloved late DM had eyes just this colour (she happened also to be called Hazel). They are a lovely colour. And it’s an interesting question.

I have the same - a blue ring, then green with flecks of brown & golden yellow - it's a (non harmful) condition called Central Heterochromia.

If I wear blue / green colours my eyes can appear more green, if I wear palaer colours they look more grey!

I always thought I have hazel eyes, is that it or is it central heterochromia, which I had never heard of before this thread?

My df died last year, and he had the most beautiful pure light green eyes. Sometimes when I see the light green part in my eyes it comforts me in a weird way, like a piece of him is still with me, as cliche as it sounds. I made the thread because I have had people tell me they're brown, yellow, green, sometimes Hazel, and I wanted to get a consensus. My young child set me off when he said they are yellow 😂.

I could be wrong, but I would say amber eyes with Central Heterochromia, after learning some info on this thread.

I think hazel, as the colours blend into each other, whereas CH has a distinct difference between the colours - i.e. often a solid line of one colour around the whole iris and then different central colours.

Your eyes are very pretty either way as far as I'm concerned!

😂no, not at all, it is good to see others with eyes that can't make their mind up like mine!

Mine have a yellow centre with some flecks of orange, a thick green rim and blue in-between. My daughters eyes are exactly the same.

I’ve always called my eyes blue as has everybody else.

I had just always assumed that there were three pieces to the eye colour: inside, middle and outside. And use the middle of the main eyecolour when they reported them. But googling seems to be suggesting that having different colours in all three is actually unusual.

My eyes are hazel. Or are they? Not actually sure any more, as they look v different to the OP's hazel eyes!

Is it central heterochromi possibly @Woodstock23? I'm useless at telling the difference!

When I was younger, my eyes were a definite, deep grey. Now I am getting older, people keep telling me they are blue. I think I must have eyes that change colour.

For those with the dark green/ hazel/ central heterochromie (I know that's spelt wrong but I can't be arsed to go back!), do you have red hair in your family?

My son similar, and I'm a red head. He has black hair...
