To ask if there are certain “red flag” AIBU topics which you avoid?

I know, without having to open them, that I will be bored or irritated by threads about:

• Parking (why do people find this interesting?)
• Anything involving a diagram
• Anything describing someone in the thread title as a narcissist
• Anything about Brexit
• Any thread in which someone describes themselves as “fuming” (or fumming)
• Weddings or hen nights. Discussion about the etiquette of having children at weddings makes me want to put myself in front of a firing squad
• Most of the trans related threads (though I think there are some important discussions)

I normally open them anyway 🤣. Anyone else?

I think I'm finally through with the shoes on / shoes off threads because I have been exposed to every single variation on the theme and no one changes their position, ever.

Class threads similarly regurgitate the same old claptrap over and over again.

I lose patience with the Am I Pregnant threads, because no-one on the internet can tell you that.

They're in a pickle because they won't say no and simply can't bear asserting themselves. You know they aren't going to say anything.

Anything about weightloss or weightloss injections in AIBU. Always so very deeply unpleasant about overweight people, it's depressing and unnecessary.

The ones where's it's all a hoo-hah about whether it's downstairs toilet/cloakroom/loo, or whether jam or cream go on scones first. The second one especially makes me angry as I feel like people are being antagonistically tedious.

"I'm 5'10 and weigh 8st 7lbs and I need to lose 5lbs before the summer. Anyone want to follow along?"

The ones with people moaning they are lonely when it's quite clear they can't be bothered to put in the effort to cultivate friendships and relationships.

Anything to do with ‘class’. So boring and such ignorant viewpoints.

Also SAHM vs WOHM where all the unhappiest women of Mumsnet become embroiled in a slagging match to make themselves feel better.

And they are invariably the same people who stopped seeing friends when it was “too much drama” because they wanted to focus on “my little family”.

I agree with the "fuming", and "furious" isn't far behind. Why can't people be "incandescent with rage" for a change?

Sometimes I go back to mumsnet classics and think those were the days. But of course there were plenty of tedious threads back then too.

Any thread with sahm in the title it's like a fuckin red rag to bull with some posters and the same shit gets thrown each and every time

The only thing worse than fuming is raging.
And neighbour disputes, they make me anxious about ever moving house 😂

Anything regarding inheritance or wills bores me and irritates me in equal measure, usually because it's very very complicated involving several generations, long history of arguments etc that you have to work through before you get to how unfair it all is or isn't. Usually it boils down to 'nothing you can do about it anyway!'

As long as it's got properly spaced paragraphs I'll read it.

The ones that are novels with no full stops or line spacing are too much.

I will never click on a thread title that includes the words 'shaking with rage' or 'thrown under a bus'

I do love the CF ones though. Some genuinely make me gasp!

People moaning about destination weddings

I’ve hidden the relationships board as I kept getting overly invested and had to ask myself why I was bothering.

Baby names thread is annoying as the OPs rarely come back.

I cannot do with stupidly long posts on any topic.

There are so many people on here who need a good shake, I genuinely don’t know how they get through the day.
