What has the car seat got to do with the tyre?

LuckysDadsHat · 26/09/2024 08:35

Why would you remove a car seat to change a tyre? I don't get it.

AiryFairyLights · 26/09/2024 08:35

Why?

BeMintBee · 26/09/2024 08:35

only is the baby is in it maybe?

shellyleppard · 26/09/2024 08:36

Not unless the car seat is occupied.....

MonsteraMama · 26/09/2024 08:36

Why though? I mean obviously if there's a child in it they need to come out before you jack the car up, is that what you mean?

vodkaredbullgirl · 26/09/2024 08:36

?

StolenChanel · 26/09/2024 08:36

Huh?

hoglets · 26/09/2024 08:37

nope! hth

K0OLA1D · 26/09/2024 08:37

With a baby in it?

WhamBamThankU · 26/09/2024 08:37

Eh?

ColdPlayy · 26/09/2024 08:42

Why?

OrwellianTimes · 26/09/2024 08:43

There should be no passengers in the car, so baby in a car set should be removed, but otherwise car seats can stay put.

meganna · 26/09/2024 08:43

Nope, why on earth would you?

Sailawaygirl · 26/09/2024 08:46

I took mine out when having tires changed because its behind drivers seat and men manachincs often put my seat right back to drive it and I didn't want them to move seat back and slam into car seat.

TheDandyLion · 26/09/2024 08:47

Tyres on the outside. Car seats on the inside.

Putonyourredshoesanddancetheblues · 26/09/2024 08:48

Only if the baby is in the seat.

Procrastinates · 26/09/2024 08:48

That makes absolutely no sense at all???

Remove the child yes but the car seat stays in place surely?

IWantKateGarrawaysHair · 26/09/2024 08:52

FFS why do posters DO this?

Post a question with no extra info and expect everyone to back them up?!

What the hell are you on about @Iserbml

Iserbml · 26/09/2024 09:00

Ok I stand corrected! I thought it may damage the car seat by the movement of the car to fit the tyre

How are you changing the tyre? Flipping it over like a bike?

MonsteraMama · 26/09/2024 09:04

How strange, how on earth would it damage the car seat to lift the car eight inches off the ground?

As long as all passengers are out of the vehicle it's safe, the inside and contents of the car won't be impacted at all by jacking it up even if it falls!

KitsyWitsy · 26/09/2024 09:05

So bizarre…

Moonmelodies · 26/09/2024 09:05

All the seats?

ErrolTheDragon · 26/09/2024 09:09

If a car seat was so flimsy as to be liable to damage by the car being jacked up, it'd be a bit useless in an accident!

I think the OP posted on insufficient caffeineBrew
