Mine is without doubt, haagen daaz salted caramel

Pistachio is my favourite but it has to be just made with real pistachios and should be a slightly manky greenish brown colour rather than a faux pistachio-y green.

For things I can actually get hold of, Hagen Daaz Pralines and Cream is pretty excellent.

Pebbles16 · 21/09/2024 21:45

Real pistachio and/or cherry

JaneIves · 21/09/2024 21:47

Another pistachio lover!

Very close second is a cinnamon gelato made at a local farm shop, it's the perfect autumnal sunny day ice cream.

Blueuggboots · 21/09/2024 22:20

Pistachio but Häagen-Dazs pralines and dream comes a very close second.

jellybe · 21/09/2024 22:26

Pistachio!!! Though it's hard to find regularly.
Then mint chocolate chip
Then strawberry with chunks.

Oldraver · 21/09/2024 22:27

I can never choose between pistachio, mint chic chip or rum and raisin

Pallisers · 21/09/2024 23:00

I had a green apple icecream in Germany years ago that was the most delicious thing ever - especially with a scoop of chocolate.

JBJ · 21/09/2024 23:02

Really good quality vanilla. Occasionally run and raisin, but I have to be in the mood. Not really a massive fan of flavoured ice cream though.

FS90 · 21/09/2024 23:05

Pistachio

never trust a person who says mint choc chip!

HauntedbyMagpies · 21/09/2024 23:06

Why?!

Whammyammy · 21/09/2024 23:06

Blackcurrants in clotted cream made on a farm near us.

Really love coconut and, as a close second, mint choc chip.

PeloMom · 21/09/2024 23:07

Anything with peanut butter 😋

Geminio · 21/09/2024 23:11

Lemon and Lime meringue from the Otter valley dairy on the A30.

ThinWomansBrain · 21/09/2024 23:34

@Scentedjasmin Cook!
I had some amazing ice cream in the summer at a festival, and they said that it was available in Cook! had forgotten all about it. Thank you

FaithD · 21/09/2024 23:35

Scottish tablet

lastlo · 21/09/2024 23:44

Hazelnut. Very hard to find in the UK now. Loseley used to do a hazelnut and meringue ice cream that was the best thing ever.

LoopyLoo1991 · 22/09/2024 02:00

Mint choc chip but they don't do the brand I really liked as a kid anymore 😕

PennyPugwash · 22/09/2024 04:20

Brown bread- yes really!

Followed by honeycomb

HerRoyalNotness · 22/09/2024 04:53

Movenpick maple walnut but haven’t seen it for years

hokey pokey

auroraborearlarse · 22/09/2024 07:42

Hockings is the best ever vanilla ice cream in the world - fact. (not biased at all) But unfortunately it's only available in Devon and they don't do mail order - boo hoo. Our local ice cream shop used to do a panna cotta flavour which was delish, it had a gorgeous baked cheesecake sort of flavour. Also memorable - a marsala ice cream in Florence.
Plus would recommend the home made vegan ice cream from the Veggie Cafe in Ilkley. The best ones we've tried so far were chocolate (which was so rich and chocolatey, with a sort of truffley texture) and salted caramel which was absolutely amazing and so moreish.

NoNameNoOne · 22/09/2024 07:45

Rum n Raisin yum

Sallosaurus · 22/09/2024 08:05

Orange and mascarpone 😋

StoatofDisarray · 22/09/2024 08:06

Coffee
Rum and raisin
Pistachio

In descending order of magnificence.

Fraaahnces · 22/09/2024 08:23

There is an amazing Italian-Style gelateria based in Melbourne that has franchises around Australia. Their Pistachio Praline ice cream is out of this world - It’s rich, custardy, vanilla with a crunchy pistachio brittle dotted through it and some caramel. To die for. They also do a dark chocolate sorbet which sounds weird but is amazing too! Dairy-free, bittersweet and RIIIIICH. I am an utter ice cream glutton and one scoop of ice cream from this store is almost too much to handle.
