P Diddy arrested

poppyzbrite4 · 17/09/2024 11:04

P Diddy has been arrested on unspecified federal charges. There have been two raids on his properties relating to sex trafficking. He's also faced a series of allegations of sexual abuse including from his ex Cassie. There was CCTV evidence of him physically assaulting her and she claims she was raped and trafficked by him.

Other women have come forward accusing him of various offences including sexual assault. I'm wondering why these men get away with their criminal behaviour for so long. Why after #metoo are women being sexually abused by powerful men and what can be done about it?

People must have known what Diddy was doing for years, why didn't people come forward?

That’s not strictly true re JS, the police in some cases, decided not to investigate, they actively protected him, and then would pop round his house for tea. It’s not all about victims dropping complaints, it’s about the police refusing to do their job.

Thanks

I've been doing some digging and 50 Cent has apparently been talking about Diddy for a while. He said that the reason celebrities didn't speak out was because many were involved:

“Some of them were involved, at the parties and enjoyed themselves, so they don’t know what the fuck is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun.”

Puffy has had allegations on him since before 1994. No one in the main media took notice. I read stuff in The Source and Vibe magazine and others. Pirate radio would air the Puffy news. For money reasons I guess mainstream media didn't want to touch it. Puffy was making lots of money for people - radio, record labels, publishing houses, selling products all of it. Puffy's work was making lot of people money and keeping them in work.

It is known that -

Puffy beat up a woman on a college/University campus way back in his 20s.

Puffy shot a woman in the face in a New York club. The gun was taken into the club by JLo (puffys girlfriend at the time). The woman has always said who shot her. No charge were taken on by the police.

Puffy broke Kim Porters nose. Kim didn't press charges.

Puffy having parental guardianship of Usher when he was 13/14. What's that about?

Usher having parental guardianship of Justin Bieber before he was 16. What's that about?

There is so many, many allegations.

Puffy is a man that Clive Davis signed a 50/50 record deal with when Puffy was 21 or 22. Why did that happen? I don't think it was about takent.

belugaheightss · 18/09/2024 20:44

People most definitely knew. It's a case of tell and suffer consequences or stay silent and safe. It's not right of course. These high profile people are all blackmailed, including Diddy himself so telling would lead to your darkest secrets being exposed. Hollywood is a dog eat dog world and Diddy pissed off the wrong person that's why this is all coming out!! May God bless all victims (famous and not) and comfort them. So sad.

Belle96 · 18/09/2024 20:45

I read before that he has been denied bail despite offering 50 million. (Daily mail) so may not be the full story but he's staying in prison according to that!

Ignore this, I didn't read the thread as well as I thought as people have already posted he didn't get bail 😳

Time to buy all of Dione Warwick and 50 Cent's back catalogues.

Yep. 50 Cent said it with his chest when he was on radio saying that Puffy offers to take men shopping to feel them out. To see what he could get away with, with them.

I paraphrase as 50 used different words.

There have been many many many whispers about Clive Davis’s behaviour going back decades. They will wait until he dies like Jimmy Saville, it will all come out and industry people will act shocked but glad he’s no longer around to name names.

Unble to edit. I want to add to the club shooting I referenced above.

The case did go to court in New York however Puffy bribed people in the jury so he got off and the rapper Shyne went to prison for the crime.

poppyzbrite4 · 19/09/2024 17:39

Another powerful man, Mohamed Al Fayed has been accused by over 20 women of assault and that's only the ones who have come forward. According to some, he was a prolific sexual predator.

It's said that Harrods covered it up. Yet again, people colluding in predatory sexual behaviour.

HRTQueen · 19/09/2024 19:22

Not a suprise at all

Hw would be so sleezy around young woman working at Harrods

BeerForMyHorses · 19/09/2024 19:28

Jaguar Wright has been telling everybody this for years. She was absolutely hammered by people in the industry for what she has said.

notaurewhatusername · 19/09/2024 20:37

@BeerForMyHorses she does seem a bit bonkers though. The things she says about Jay z and other celebs waters down her message sometimes!

Palsywalsy · 19/09/2024 23:55

Not clued up on this, but what waters down her message?

YankSplaining · 20/09/2024 00:15

He’s got video of people at the “freak offs” that would be potentially devastating for them if it went public. And it sounds like he tended to watch the “freak offs,” not directly participate, so he wouldn’t necessarily do damage to himself if the footage surfaced because he’s not necessarily in the footage himself.

He has a record label and other businesses, so lots of people probably had financial or professional connections to him and might face a loss of reputation and/or income if he was exposed.

Also, lots of people don’t want to report criminal behavior of successful black men. Race shouldn’t come into it, but it does - in “Surviving R. Kelly,” some of Kelly’s (black) victims talked about how they were criticized by other black people for “trying to take a powerful black man down.” Which story reflects better on black people? “Fatherless black boy from Harlem rises to fame and fortune through his talent and hard work,” or “black man is a sex criminal who deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison”?

notaurewhatusername · 20/09/2024 06:53

@Palsywalsy she just sometimes sounds like a conspiracy theorist and a bit bonkers!

Apparently Jay z murdered his pregnant mistress as Beyoncé was pregnant at the same time. Allegedly according to jaguar.

Then again, the stories don't seem so far fetched of late 😭

justasking111 · 20/09/2024 12:29

Many years ago friends daughter got a summer job at Harrod's she was warned by other women and men not to ever get caught alone with him. She brought that tale back to Wales talking freely. So many people outside the firm learnt of his behaviour.

HRTQueen · 20/09/2024 14:08

Yes I worked there when I was young over the summer and Christmas. He was always marching around the store and would stop and chat to me and my friends (all of us early 20's) we were impressed why wouldn't we be but he was a bit creepy.

We had been warned by other woman and they would hang around when he was about to protect us . I love how woman will look out for each other its so wrong that we have to. I now find I am doing this towards young woman colleagues

BlondeFool · 20/09/2024 14:14

I always thought Kim Porter's death was dodgy.

OhmygodDont · 20/09/2024 14:20

I’m sure this was the whole pizza gate (not Andrew tho maybe he was there)thing when I was a teenager. It’s one of those weird out their secrets. Everyone knows but nobody is doing anything about it.

unsync · 17/09/2024 13:11

Didn't Dionne Warwick suggest Snoop needed to think about how his daughter might feel about his attitude towards women?

Yes. She's an absolute queen.

OhmygodDont · 20/09/2024 14:28

Or pizza party. It was something around the time of a young JB.

Of course it's a justification. People like Saville got away with mass sexual abuse because people didn't speak out. They were all trying to protect themselves, meanwhile he was a prolific sexual predator. The same has happened here, yet again.

One thing I remember reading about him in a detailed account with examples is that Savile was very good at intimidating or threatening people with law, which succeeded in deterring them. He was a ruthless and wily character who was well armed to protect himself always and went to great lengths in the way he lived, to deceive and exploit people.

That's not to say that that was so in every case or that there weren't some people or organisations who might have been able to say or do something.
