Dave Grohl has the 'I'm one of you' everyday nice guy persona but he is not a normal person by a long chalk. He's a world famous rockstar. Women will literally be throwing themselves at him behind the scenes.

You've also got to have an ego to be a world famous frontman. He's been shrewd and not afraid to sack band members / shape his band. He's a clever, driven and highly ambitious guy, he's definitely got an edge.

He's not the first, Arnie did this and it hasn't harmed his popularity in the long run, although it has a seismic affect on the immediate family.
