I honestly thought he was such a good bloke and it’s turns out he’s just another philandering rock star. I’m so sad for his wife and daughters.

Infidelity isn't criminal. It happens across all strata of society and always has. This guy has vastly more opportunity than the average person to cheat, and surprise surprise he's taken it. Is it that big a deal for the public? It's devastating for his family but that's a private matter for them.

A lot of people didn’t/don’t believe her because of the accusations from her split with Tim Armstrong. I’m a massive Rancid fan ( well I was, I find it a bit icky now) but the point remains that she was 16 and he was 30, there as a huge power inbalance (and it’s disgusting because she was a child) to even begin with, let alone the accusations of abuse.
So many musicians sleeping with, dating and marrying little girls (how Anthony Kiedis hasn’t been jailed I honestly do not know). It’s so disgusting. But they’re given green card because they make music people enjoy.

I think the difference is that he has built a platform on his nice guy persona. Oasis have always hammed up the act of being dickheads - it’s part of their selling point. Dave Grohl has pretend for years to be the good guy, rumours have been swirling for decades but nothing has been concrete. Now his repeated infidelity is showing people it’s a sham.

People should expect infidelity, but Dave tightly managed his image to the point where people are shocked he would cheat.

There have been rumours and blind items about him cheating for years. It must be awful for his wife, not only to be cheated on but for it all to be public and involve another baby.

Same - we'd also been at TS the day before.
We actually left, it really soured the rest of the evening for us - I've seen the foos a number of times and always have a really good night, but the vibes weren't there that night and that was the cherry on top so we left and went to the pub...

I think it also feels shitty for women because you think is my husband partner only a good guy because he doesn't have opportunities to cheat, isn't rich etc

It's also about much more than the infidelity here.

The existence of a child outside the marriage means not only that the world knows, but it also potentially fucks around with the relationships within the family too. Jordyn's children have another sibling. That's huge. It's potentially a much bigger deal than him shagging around. I can believe that some, if not all women married to men like this know the score when it comes to cheating. But another kid is a different thing again.
