Would you have your own bedroom if you had space

So a friend of friend is moving house and she has said that the main bedroom which is en suite and has a teeny balcony is going to be her room. She's having a dressing table and fitted wardrobes and the bathroom is hers alone. Her husband is taking a bedroom across the landing next to one of her sons and is sharing a bathroom with him. (Other children are up on next floor).

Would you if you could 🤣

Nope, best part of the day is snuggling into DH when we both get into bed. Yup, sounds soppy, but resting my head on his chest (with his arm around me) is my place to totally relax 😂

Hell yeah.

Yep separate rooms here one night owl, one early bird

sleep makes us happier people having to sleep in the same room did not

Duckinglunacy · 04/09/2024 20:44

Not would - I do! Moved into the spare room when I had covid 4 years ago and never moved back. The kids still play musical beds in the early hours and I hated moving to the spare room with them as it was waking me up. I am so much better rested this way.

We have the space, and we have our own rooms. I love it. There is no way I will ever share my bed again.

PixieTrance89 · 05/09/2024 18:59

I do have my own room, I sleep better alone with no snoring in my ear it's worked out great

Greentableleg · 30/03/2025 23:21

I have my own room and I wouldn't go back to sharing with DH now. Health issues and his snoring were the main factors that led to him moving into the spare room but we both sleep better now.

Teenagerantruns · 30/03/2025 23:27

I'm really considering this, we actually sleep really badly together, we have a spare room but with no bed, I'm just looking at beds now ...

SpikeGilesSandwich · 30/03/2025 23:35

Absolutely! DH often sleeps in the spare room and I love it, I’d kill to have this solely as my bedroom, sharing is hard. I feel like I share the whole house, why can’t I have one little space to myself?
I miss living alone to be honest, damn biological clock making get married and procreate Hmm

MrsMoastyToasty · 30/03/2025 23:52

DH sleeps in the spare room. 40 years of early shifts means he still wakes up around 5am.

My dream house would have 2 master bedrooms which are mirror images of each other so nobody gets the "better" bedroom.
