I dont care if theyre pals or not

I liked them in the 90s, they are just old millionaires now

Am sick of seeing them in the news

I don't care about Oasis either. The assumption that we should all be jumping for joy for these seemingly cretinous gobshites is annoying.

Turnitoffnonagain · 27/08/2024 20:10

My interest only extends to how long they will tolerate each other before one of them flounces. It's bound to happen........

Toddlerteaplease · 27/08/2024 20:11

Mr neither. Didn't like their music the first time around.

HelenWheels · 27/08/2024 20:12

one of the worst sounds in the world, Wonderwall

itsmylife7 · 27/08/2024 20:12

And me.

Why is this all over the news ?

I want to hear how the poor woman who was stabbed is..

And what about the soldier who was stabbed a few weeks ago, how's he .

Toddlerteaplease · 27/08/2024 20:12

Solonga · 27/08/2024 19:32

We are not going to hear the end of it, it will be like Taylor Swift again

Sick of her too!

Didimum · 27/08/2024 20:12

heinzseight · 27/08/2024 20:01

Blur need to get back together and launch a rival tour. It will be like being 16 all over again!

Blur are together. They released an album last year.

circular1985 · 27/08/2024 20:14

I'm excited and hope I get tickets. Oasis were the soundtrack to my teenage years and the brilliant 90's.

Love Taylor swift too and she was amazing in concert. I hope it's easier to get oasis tickets .....

socks1107 · 27/08/2024 20:23

I was never into them then Liam put on a free concert for NHS staff in 2021 after the pandemic and I really enjoyed the evening!
Full respect for him and good luck to them doing another tour. Those who want to go will have a fab time and that's really what
It's about

SummerSplashing · 27/08/2024 20:25

It has only been a day or two FGS.

I like their 'sound' as it takes me back to those years when my life was happy, living the life, travelling etc a heartbreak or two ... as individual songs I think I only like wonderwall & Don't look back in Anger. Real group sing alongs. Nostalgia.

I don't personally care that they've got back together, I won't be going, but I'm really happy for anyone who IS happy that they have. anything (innocent) that brings a bit of happiness to their life, I'm all for it.

i don't like TS, but likewise, love how she's made SO Many people so happy.

its been a couple of days, FMD

Ah, got to love the Mumsnet miseries. Rather indifferent to Oasis, but these utterly miserable threads, groaning under the weight of their own grief that not everything is exactly to their liking, are getting rather ridiculous.

God forbid people … you know, enjoy anything in life.

Absolutely. It's going to become a competition to care the least and be the coolest.

No one is giving out medals for this.

GladLemonFish · 27/08/2024 20:27

Prawncow · 27/08/2024 19:36

I would like to see Noel’s face if someone makes that comparison to him.

😂😂

Werweisswohin · 27/08/2024 20:30

StrawberrySquash · 27/08/2024 20:04

It is going to be more relentless than Taylor Swift. People going on about it. That's why people are posting 'I don't care!' threads. Perfectly reasonable!

Part of me wouldn't mind seeing them, but I won't be selling a kidney to fund it.

They are definitely maybe more interesting.

TinkerTiger · 27/08/2024 20:30

AutumnCrow · 27/08/2024 19:50

I like Oasis but dear god, am I sick to fucking death of the same repetitive hilarious headlines ...

Before today: oooh Oasis reunion, definitely maybe, ha ha fucking ha ha geddit, definitely maybe, ain't that slick and funny or what?

No. It's in every newspaper on the planet. It's probably in the Trumpton Parish Newsletter. Fuck off.

God knows what today's is. I daren't look. Mad for it? Roll with it?

Forget about it, don't look back in anger.

HeySummerWhereAreYou · 27/08/2024 20:30

Hmm Don't care about them, but felt compelled to create a THREAD about them?!

Pathetic. Seriously. Confused

ssd · 27/08/2024 20:30

Thing is, i like Liam, he's hilarious. Noel seems a bit of a knob. But if course i dont know them.

Just cant be arsed with them all over the media

OP posts:
tinytemper66 · 27/08/2024 20:31

I like their music but am not fussed on them per se. So will not be queuing to buy a ticket!

Anothernamechane · 27/08/2024 20:31

Don’t care yet you've started a thread when there are at least two others going you could have posted on. Sigh.

If you’re not interested in the reunion don’t fork out for tickets. Otherwise let people enjoy things.

PadstowGirl · 27/08/2024 20:31

Lostinbrum · 27/08/2024 19:42

Blur were better

Don't be ridiculous.

MargaritaPracticallyCan · 27/08/2024 20:33

Oasis were the soundtrack of my late teens and 20s, absolutely loved them back then, saw them live at Loch Lomond in 96 and it was absolutely incredible - possibly of its time, maybe won't be the same this time around - I'm older, they're older. I'd like to see them again, I'll try and get tickets, but won't be devastated if it doesn't happen.

GladLemonFish · 27/08/2024 20:34

I like some of their music but I think they are dull, just like their attitudes. I think their concert also will be dull, but the audience singing along will save them.

But, I have a 22-year old over here in Scandi who will never live it down if he can’t get tickets. He is prepared to do anything. He will do anything, and we don’t GET it. We did see Oasis in London in the 90ths but no it does not count, obviously.

GinToBegin · 27/08/2024 20:34

I’ve never particularly liked Oasis, and I loathe Wonderwall with a passion, but a lot of people are going to have an absolute ball, so good luck to them.

And Stop Crying Your Heart Out is an absolute belter.

I saw them there too - great memories (except the queue for the train home).

5128gap · 27/08/2024 19:42

Can't stand them as people. Noel is the least worst of the two, but I still hate his attitude and the laddish scrappy culture sround them. I like their music but only because I somehow know every word, and its a big old sing along. But a half decent tribute or even Gaz from the pub on the Karoake would do the job for me. Its mildly interesting that they are going to play together live again but that's all.

Is he? The on,y set I’ve ever walked out of was Noel and his fucking high flying birds. He was sooo ride to the audience, arrogant and offensive. Yes, ok, some of the songs are good. Not good enough to listen to that though.

PuzzledParrott · 27/08/2024 20:38

Got to disagree. Loved them in their heyday, love them now, and really hope I get tickets!
