Does anyone have that one weird tip that melts belly fat that doctors in your area don't want you to know about?

It involves eating a tapeworm egg.

Doctors don't want you to know about it because it's really bad for your health.

HereForTheFreeLunch · 19/08/2024 11:10

You could have a fancy salad on sour dough olive bread...

Don't worry if you haven't got the ingredients - just substitute...

Sour dough olive bread --- white bread
Salad veggies --- baked beans
Fresh tomatoes and dressings --- tomato sauce from baked beans.

Cocothecoconut · 19/08/2024 11:11

Since when did ‘tips’ become ‘hacks’

Cotonsugar · 19/08/2024 11:18

I’ve been doing that for years, just common sense, not a “hack”. Any mess is then cleaned up afterwards (to all those asking if it makes a mess).

INSANE life hack

This sort of clickbait that invariably leads to a pretty boring article about nothing is what's wrong with so much nowadays.

You leave a tin of tuna to drip down your sink - amazing 🙄

You seriously have to change your username in case anybody recognises your sink. I have no words.

You have no sense of humour either.😀

JudgeJ · 19/08/2024 10:54

May try this in the loo! My OH read where coca cola would shift it, there's now brown limescale welded to the bowl.

😂😂😂

Goes with that fluorescent yellow bog cleaner that pools so attractively

OrangeJeans · 19/08/2024 11:21

Make a hole at the top too, it'll drain twice as fast.

I think RaraRachel has missed the LOL factor of the thread. Grin

Funny thing is, I actually genuinely think the OP was serious about this 'life hack' when she posted it, and that (IMO) makes it all even funnier! 😆

Wheresthebeach · 19/08/2024 11:22

Off to hunt for a 2p piece...

I'd get the thread removed to protect the privacy of your sink OP.

Lots of tuna going to be eaten for lunch today, methinks.

I've been wondering if it's a 15 year old boy who's just learning to make his own sandwiches.

Far too busy for that. There are hot singles in my area that want to chat with me!

BeSpoonyAquaHare · 19/08/2024 11:25

Why are so many mumsnet posters chronically unable to read irony or sarcasm?

Its a mystery....

Katemax82 · 19/08/2024 06:26

Keep onions in the fridge. Thank me later...

@Katemax82 I keep mine in the fridge but why is that better than not?

Turmerictolly · 19/08/2024 11:34

That's actually a good idea. You could also use those ice cubes in your gin, for a different flavour.

That actually did make me laugh! 😆

Dandelionsarefree · 19/08/2024 11:37

FiveShelties · 19/08/2024 05:33

Doesn't it make a mess down the side of your sink?

I am impressed though that you know people who would recognise your sink - I would hardly recognise mine, let alone anyone else's sink.

😂

PlanningTowns · 19/08/2024 11:46

SoftandQuiet · 19/08/2024 10:55

so you scrape off the limescale with a penny??

Yes! It’s brilliant especially around taps!

S0CKPUPPET · 19/08/2024 11:47

Moreofthesamenothanks · 19/08/2024 09:48

Now that you mention it , yes it's very anxiety driving.

@Tunotips life changing awesome hack..... get some sealer around the gaps by your edging above sink. It'll save bacteria, dirk and grime, getting down there. Sealant is amazing stuff, you must get some.

They don’t sell sealant in Spain, where the OP is from . Like Manuel in Fawlty Towers.

quantumbutterfly · 19/08/2024 11:58

Trixiefirecracker · 19/08/2024 08:49

I have a Tim for this….he drains things, cuts grass and occasionally throws his clothes in the corner of the room. He’s my Tim though, not anyone else’s.

Does Tim still do the 'speaking clock' too? Such a helpful chap.

Birdingbear · 19/08/2024 12:02

This is a boring tip that we ALL know

UnctuousUnicorns · 19/08/2024 12:09

Hairyesterdaygonetoday · 19/08/2024 10:57

My top tip is buttering the cut surface of a loaf (after cutting the end crust off, obviously) before cutting each slice off. It's harder to butter once it's sliced. Or maybe that's just because I am really crap at cutting straight slices of bread.

Better still, save time, energy and the risk of both wonky slices and cutting yourself, by buying ready sliced bread. Thank me later.
