We've all read it. If you're replying to it we assume you've read it too. We don't need to scroll all the way through it again just to see your nugget of wisdom. Behave.

Couldn’t agree more with this

It isn’t funny. I just sort of go - honestly, that’s your idea of a hilarious joke?

Not in the slightest, it was mildly amusing more than hilarious. More like an open goal really.

snowdrop21 · 10/08/2024 18:23

I don’t understand why this riles people up so much.

Me either, that's why I couldn't help poking the bear. 👹

I only have the option to Quote or Report on my phone App

You can't just add a reply to a thread? Are you sure?

@Devilsmommy
Thanks....just have to remember the name now. If only the site told you.

It does tell you, type @ and it defaults to the OP

Mercurial123 · 10/08/2024 18:34

Agree, and why does the first poster have to copy the OP's post when responding? I've seen it happening quite often in the last few weeks.

I honestly think people either don’t know etiquette or do it to annoy. It’s not even funny and you can see folks repeating the op thinking they are legends in their own lunch hour, when everyone else is just thinking what a twat,

You don't know what everyone else is thinking. Speak for yourself and stand on your own thoughts. Don't try to drag a crowd into your bandwagon.

Some people find it funny, others don't. It's twattish to think your humour is superior. That goes for the other posters who think it's so painful to read people having a bit of silly "juvenile" fun. Scroll on if you don't like it and spare yourself. Surely that's common sense.

themoonandthestarsandme · 11/08/2024 07:09

I’ll put my hand up and admit I don’t find it funny in the slightest, I’m not lacking a sense of humour but it’s so predictable, done so many times and it’s almost a bit embarrassing, like you can sense the person sitting in glee with their biting wit and clever comeback when it’s really not.

Well so much for lighthearted remarks.

I'm so glad you asked @perhapsatea.
I was too afraid to in case I got detention.😉

It means Too Long, Didn’t Read.

When someone writes a really long post, they’ll often add TLDR; followed by a basic summary of what their post is about so you can decide if you can be arsed to read it or not. That’s why it’s much more helpful if it’s at the top, not the bottom when you’ve already read the whole bloody thing
