I just paid 60 and just curious what others pay. Not a restyle just a cut and blow dry.

I go with my GD, GD in one chair me in another next to her and we both have our hair cut at the same time. It's the only way GD will let her hair be cut, it's just a dry cut, with a water spray and I love how our hair turns out, we're charged £16 for the 2 of us, I hand over £30. If the ladies ever moved into a pricey salon I'd follow them, they are worth every penny.

Justcallmebebes · 10/08/2024 16:38

£15 for a dry cut. £25 for wash, cut and blow dry. E Mids

InnerPlop · 10/08/2024 16:41

£50 for cut and blow dry with a senior stylist in West Midlands.
I do have a 'style' that's easy to maintain, but needs reshaping every 6-ish weeks. I also have cows lick at the front of my head, which make getting my fringe right difficult. I'm at least 1.5 hours in the chair and about 30mins of that is my stylist working on my fringe making sure it's right. Worth every penny.

The number of hairdressers I've seen over the years that have screwed up my fringe is phenomenal. IMHO hairdressers are 10 a penny. But a good hairdresser is worth their weight in gold.

RobinHood19 · 10/08/2024 16:41

Would’ve been £50 where I lived before. Now it’s €25 for just a cut, €30 if I want a proper blow dry finish. Small town, if I drive half an hour into the big city (continental Europe) it becomes €50+. So double the price just by going into a more populated place - it’s one of the very few services that aren’t cost-regulated here, most things are the same price in or outside the city.

JadeSeahorse · 10/08/2024 16:41

£15 for a dry cut at the small village unisex hairdresser. (DH goes there too!)

She is brilliant! Best cuts I have ever had.
Previous hairdresser, again in the village, charged £25 and wasn't as good.

bonzaitree · 10/08/2024 16:42

£0 my OHs sister is a hairdresser. She trims it for me. We get her and her kids a takeaway. Win win.

£110 for a specialist curly cut

Probably should say I'm in the NW and the owner is the only hairdresser so he does everything. Only one person in the salon at any time

rainbowbee · 10/08/2024 16:47

€140 for colour, cut and blow dry. Yes it's expensive but she does a fantastic job. I'm keeping my hair longer and more natural than in previous years so I only go about every three months.
A cheap hairdresser in my city butchered me for 30 quid. It took a year to grow back, so I've been a bit burned!

ConfessionsOfAMumDramaQueen · 10/08/2024 16:49

£26 wash, wet cut and rough dry

Superworm24 · 10/08/2024 16:49

Last time I had mine cut the girl charged me £35 and it looked terrible. So I've been cutting and colouring my own hair for years now. I think it looks okay.

AboutTwelve · 10/08/2024 16:51

£62 (director) - small town in south west (range at salon is £42-£65)

I hadn't realised it had gone up from £54 until I just checked (or that I paid £65 last time for pretty poor cut from senior director when my usual (director) stylist wasn't available...

I have for regrowth done every 4 weeks (£52) and then have a cut and blow dry as well every 8-12 weeks.

Wonderwall23 · 10/08/2024 16:52

£60 would be about right near me (SE but not London).

I have a mobile hairdresser come to me for half that, which I much prefer.

dementedpixie · 10/08/2024 16:53

About £60 for full head highlights plus cut and dry

Tralalaka · 10/08/2024 16:54

£64 roots every 5 weeks and blow dry
highlights and roots and toner & blow dry every 4 months about £180
cut & blowdry every 5/6 months £100

this is a well known salon in London. I’m happy for the roots to be done by anyone so usually go for some of the junior colourists but I’m really particular who does the highlights so have someone more senior

The cut is done by the director and genuinely is worth every penny. It’s not what the cut looks like when I leave the salon, any hairdresser can do a nice haircut, it’s how the hair cut lasts and I’m happy to pay for it

AnnieMcFanny · 10/08/2024 16:54

Our equivalent of 50 pounds every 6 weeks for a cut/trim and blow dry.

Was it by the hair bros?

Thebaguette · 10/08/2024 17:00

£115 for dry cut..only because my hair is problematic curly and this salon was heavily marketed for curly hair. Not sure it was worth it. They also made me buy £££ worth of styling products, though i bought it elsewhere. Since then I have got my hair keratin treatment at a cheaper place and it looks better with Keratin than with expensive hair cut

Oblomov24 · 10/08/2024 17:01

£30 Surrey. High street hair salon.

Coconuthotchocolate · 10/08/2024 17:02

£45 city centre, southwest.

MrsClatterbuck · 10/08/2024 17:03

I was charged £20 last month cut and blow dry. Hair hadn't been cut in a while so I suppose it was a restyle. Gave a £5 tip as I felt they should have charged more. Been at least 2 years since I used them and they were charging £20 then.

Was with someone else in between but wasn't totally satisfied with the cut. It was OK but they didn't cut short enough at the back. So went back to my usual hairdresser as she had stopped for a while but now operates from her home.

purser25 · 10/08/2024 17:05

£55 for me and Mother cut and blow dry for her. She comes home so I wash my hair whilst hers is being dried. I have a rough dry. £5 tip she is very good

Excited101 · 10/08/2024 17:07

I paid £365 a few weeks ago, balayage and cut, 2 toners and opalex… the cut and colour was 20% off… I nearly cried when they told me what it was!!
Usually I pay about £160, I’m not sure what happened this time. I won’t go back to this place again- only ever go a maximum of once a year anyway but it was offensively expensive and I don’t think I appreciate it enough for the cost. I was in there nearly 5 hours at least!

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 10/08/2024 17:07

I can't afford haircuts. It's always a DIY trim for me.

nonmerci99 · 10/08/2024 17:08

£20 for a dry cut (Scotland).

tinytemper66 · 10/08/2024 17:08

£25 cut and blow dry
