Supposed to be going to London this weekend with DM to watch a show, staying for one night. Are there currently riots in London or is it likely to have stopped by the weekend? Our hotel is very close to the Tower of London not sure if that makes any difference.

Most people in London diverse friendly and mega PC. I really would not fret.

Only thing you need to worry about is muggers ! Keep an eye on your phone and try and bring a cross body bag and you will be fine ! We are actually very friendly in London !

I would absolutely advise not having your phone in your hand and be wary of your belongings on the Tube.

I'm often in Whitechapel (including last Saturday and today) and I didn't see anything either?

I live in Whitechapel and there was a lot of 'protesting' last night but it was this:

There are frequent pro-Palestine marches that happen in E1 (usually on Saturday lunchtime/afternoons) but they're quite sedate, and don't go as far as the Tower area anyway.

I really wouldn't be concerned about being in London at the weekend. Just keep your wits about you (as you should do anyway in a big city).

There was a riot in Whitechapel? Seems to have gone largely unnoticed, when was that?!

Couple of weeks ago? Maybe 3.

It wasn't part of the current shit show
