It's quite spectacular the downfall from leading couple in the world to the children changing their names when they turn 18. Divorces happen but the scale of the disintegration is wild. If only Ange was on MN to get advice on red flags. 🚩

Brad and Angelina were always going to be a car crash. Two huge publicity hungry egos never makes for a harmonious relationship.
The kids must have had a challenging upbringing for all their wealth and privilege.

It's not also just about big egos- they both have very explosive characters, living on the edge, I presume with lots of substances going on (both her ex husbands lead quite wild lives). I kind of think most actors, especially the very top ones, are a bit/very messed up, and I cant think of many long term couples at this stage where something fucked up would not have happened, most just manage to keep it away from the media.

There have been a lot of bad celeb break ups.

It was odd to me how everything seemed to be going swimmingly for years and then fell apart when Brad and Angelina actually got married.

I cannot believe that their divorce still ongoing. They split up so long ago.

What about Witney and Bobby Brown? Rihanna and the one who punched her in the face? I don’t know whether Kanye was as bonkers as he is now but I suspect Kim K probably had to put up with a lot. On our side of the pond look at Boris and all his kids (sounds like all of the older ones can’t stand him), various TOWIE/ Love island couples, footballers basically living double lives with kids being used as cannon fodder to get money/ attention.

I suspect Brad and Angelina were probably about as bad as each other as partners, but she does seem to be a half-decent mother. I don’t think he seems like a monster but it does sound like he has alcohol/ addiction issues and I suspect the “unit” of Angelina and the kids turned on him once he fell out of her favour.

Oh yes, of course, that probably has impacted the children very badly.

Honestly, as time goes on I think that most people who seek out fame and showbiz must be damaged, unwell or plain bonkers.
