They are not protestors. They are not protesting. They are common or garden thugs and criminals who are causing criminal damage, setting police offices on fire and attacking police officers.

Total scumbags.

Protesters in Sunderland set car on fire and clash with police

Northumbria Police says its officers have been "subjected to serious violence".

Yep. Absolute thugs. Think l saw some children in the footage too.

An 11 year-old has been arrested for arson (the police car I think)

Apparently they didn’t burn the police station, they burned down citizens advice in error. Is that true?

The police station they burned down is marked on Google maps as permanently closed, as I've just read on the news.

That was in Hartlepool.

Long thread so don't know if this has been posted (from the Times):

The woman accused of being first to post a false Muslim name for the suspect is the managing director of a clothing company. The mother of three in her mid-fifties enjoys walking, is married to an artist and counts an actor among her children. The family live in a £1.5 million farmhouse in the rural north.

She posted on Twitter/X that “Ali-Al-Shakati” was the suspect, he was an “asylum seeker who came to the UK by boat last year” and was on an “MI6 watch list”.

*“If this is true, then all hell is about the break loose”, she wrote. The false information sped around the internet and played a part in prompting the anti-immigration riot in Southport the following evening. An hour after it was published, at 4.49pm on Monday, she deleted the post.

She hasn't been named

Its not been a police station for years. Its citizens advice.

Genevieva · 03/08/2024 10:25

That’s what you are meant to think. It is likely a mix. People are struggling at the moment and, for some, that means that when others start protesting they will jump on the bandwagon. It’s contagious behaviour resulting from disaffection. There are probably some organised gang types in there too and also undercover police. We know there were a lot of they last group in the eco rallies about 20 odd years ago because of the legal cases about babies fathered by police officers / counter terrorism people who infiltrated these groups and overstepped the mark. With different branches of the police / government doing the same and not communicating with each other, some were unwittingly reporting on fellow undercover intelligence officers. Crazy stuff.

Ignored how? What is it you think they want that they’re not getting? Apart from only white people in the UK, obviously. A view which it’s quite right to ignore.

Choochoo21 · 03/08/2024 10:27

If it wasn’t so scary, their lack of common sense would be funny.

At least no one can ever deny that there is a racism problem in the UK.
(Which I used to read on here a lot).

All opinions are valid

No they’re not. Racist opinions, for example, are not.

IItisymoi · 03/08/2024 10:37

The odd thing, to me, is that the mothers of these 'little darlings' (that are smashing things up) think they are all such 'good boys'.
It is the tories that have been pushing the 'immigrant' narrative and deliberately allowed the UK Border Force and Home Office to FAIL to process asylum claims in a timely manner, thus DELIBERATELY causing all the conflict. And then of course some Farmers and other users of low skill very low wage people have been happy to exploit 'undocumented' (effectively slave labour) for many decades. Being undocumented also means that local ameneties and provisions fail to keep up with the area's needs (doctors, dentists, decent housing etc), ALL of which is Government responsibility that has been shirked for so long, principally by Tories.

@TiredArse I can’t remember what the unit that was set fire to actually was, it was empty for years but might have become an extension to the police station. The former police station (the main police station relocated outside the city some years ago) has been ransacked and I assume also fire damaged, you can see the ceiling insulation on the floor in the photo I posted above. Citizens Advice is a few doors up and their shutters were damaged but I think the rest of the building looked ok. Quite a few windows broken on the surrounding buildings like the betting shop and Poundland.

Edited

Google maps shows citizens advice posters in the window a few months ago.

Wonder how destruction and looting helps them get their country back?

awaydoonthroughhersel · 03/08/2024 10:44

Can anyone tell me if there is something planned in newcastle next weekend? I have theatre tickets to take my elderly mum out 😞

HeyTalkToMeGoose · 02/08/2024 23:18

I'm shocked to see a list of towns/cities released where the next 'protests' are taking place

None are any of our local towns thankfully! If you are on this list pls take care!

Where is this, please?

(For clarity I'd like to join a counter protest if there is one, not to join in with the racist thugs!)

@awaydoonthroughhersel there was something planned for next Saturday but I’ve also heard that something may happen this weekend so who knows.

They are rent-a-mob, out to damage, steal, loot and assault others. An 11 year old has been arrested for arson, spouting racist insults.

Feral parents, breeding feral kids, pretending to speak for the rest of us…🙄

Large Asian population, and reasonably large black population. Very intentional choice.
