To not want to see t*ts on the beach??!

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 12:34

Just that really!

on holiday at the mo and I cant even count the number of times I have seen topless women sunbathing at the beach… next to kids!…on non-nudist beach!

I really don’t want to see titties out in the middle of the day

on top of that I don’t fancy my teenage boys or even my DH having a look at them either

its obvious they’re coming from certain European countries ! Do they have no sense of what’s right or wrong ?

AIBU?

I honestly couldn’t care less the only feeling I might have is slight jealousy I can’t do the same because they would be a potential tripping hazard 😂. Just let it go any enjoy your holiday, believe me if your boys or husband want to see boobs they have access to that and a WHOLE (/HOLE 😂) lot more if they have phones. Who knows a couple of cocktails and you might dare to bare or at least relax 🧘‍♀️.

(I’m from Scotland if that makes any difference re cultures)

Eyesopenwideawake · 30/07/2024 16:25

I made the mistake of going topless by a hotel pool in South Carolina once. Almost got arrested!!

ClickClack300 · 30/07/2024 16:25

GinAndBeerIt · 30/07/2024 16:08

I go topless wherever I can, I always have and I'll continue to do so, even though I'm 60+ and my tits are fighting with my arse in the race to get to the south first.
Do you get offended over seeing mum's breastfeed their babies in public too?

No because that’s their purpose and the baby needs to be fed.

ATenShun · 30/07/2024 16:26

swimlyn · 30/07/2024 16:11

Criminy yes, I know exactly what you mean. Last summer we went to the Bordeaux region in France.

When we spent time on a beautiful Atlantic beach my husband had a Semillon.

LOL

all good as long as it wasn't a champagne and he blew his cork out. 😂

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 30/07/2024 16:27

That isn’t what I was saying, @ClickClack300 - I was asking whether you would wear a burka in public in the UK, because a tourist from a more conservative country thought you should conform to their country’s cultural norms, not the norms of the country they were visiting.

I don’t think a tourist has the right to expect the country they are visiting to change their cultural norms to make the tourist more comfortable. It is the responsibility of the tourist to do their research on the country they want to visit, and if they cannot stomach the cultural norms of that country, don’t go!

meandkarmavibe · 30/07/2024 16:28

This is all very fishy

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 12:42

Oh interesting

so you’d like a 50yo male getting his bits out near a 5yo?
Would you be educating the toddler ?

Are you seriously claiming that breasts are the same as genitalia?

You must be absolutely horrified going around art galleries.

GinAndBeerIt · 30/07/2024 16:28

ClickClack300 · 30/07/2024 16:25

No because that’s their purpose and the baby needs to be fed.

Exactly, that's their purpose.
So why get offended at seeing them when a baby isn't being fed.

Jan1863 · 30/07/2024 16:28

Women go topless all the time in France. You see all body types in the sauna in Germany - naked. Bodies are just bodies. We all need to relax about this. My days of peak perkiness are long past - but I really don't see why I can't happily sag in the sun if I want to.

NonPlayerCharacter · 30/07/2024 13:47

Nobody's forcing you. In the meantime, sunscreen works on all parts of the body.

Thanks for this reminder, I thought it was mandatory 🙄

And that’s why I said it’s the Brits that do it I have the issue with!

Motcouk · 30/07/2024 16:30

I was going to Bournemouth with my children from 1976 onwards - well 'child' until 1977 - and topless women were very commonly seen on the beach in what was a quite conservative town back then. My daughter is now fifty and my son forty seven. It's not new and not caused by any 'continental' habits.

GinAndBeerIt · 30/07/2024 16:28

Because they also have a sexual connotation and anyone that thinks that’s wrong is deluded!

PinkWatermelon88 · 30/07/2024 16:31

You'd want to check out your internalised misogyny OP.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 30/07/2024 16:31

Sorry, @ClickClack300 - I misunderstood - I am far too slow-of-thinking today.

Right?
Are you turned on by the sight of naked tits?

Well given you didn't seem to realise you can use sunscreen on nipples...And it wouldn't be the daftest thing this thread has seen, either.

skyfalldown · 30/07/2024 16:34

if you think nipples next to kids is bad, I’ve even seen children sucking on them!!!!!

I love the fact that your assuming you know my skin type and how easily I may or may not burn.

I do realise, the sarcasm is failing hun.

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 13:33

Absolutely ZERO locals doing this !

I can vouch that the locals in Cyprus don’t go topless. Been there almost every summer, we visit non touristy beaches which are full of locals.

ClickClack300 · 30/07/2024 16:41

GinAndBeerIt · 30/07/2024 16:32

Right?
Are you turned on by the sight of naked tits?

Far from it. It’s what they represent. We banned page 3 because it was objectifying women’s boobs and here we are a few years later suggesting we should all be happy to see women with their boobs out on a family beach.

There is a time and a place and that’s not it. I don’t want to see your tits so cover them up and have respect l for others around you is what I’d be thinking. I think it’s classless and tacky

Waterboatlass · 30/07/2024 16:42

I wanna see tits on the beach
Come on everybody
Tits on the beach

Waterboatlass · 30/07/2024 16:43

That's been stuck in my head all day so just spreading it around. Bloody vengaboys

KatieCrusoe · 30/07/2024 16:43

I'll be honest, it doesn't bother me. I love boobs.
