OK, I read this thread about half an hour ago just as I was getting ready to have a shower before going out - am now sat in car outside a pub waiting for my friend!
So I decided to time the whole process!
It took 3 minutes for the water to run hot enough for the shower during which time I got undressed and sorted out towels.
I was in the shower for 8 minutes, first I wet my hair thoroughly then applied shampoo and rubbed well. I only use one lot of shampoo so I then rinsed and put on conditioner. While the conditioner was on, I used the bar of soap to wash myself including feet, toes and all orifices! I needed to shave my legs and underarms so did that using the soap. Finally I rinsed the conditioner from my hair until squeaky clean, I have a shoulder length bob. Finally once the water was off I squeegeed the shower cubicle and got my towelling gown on, tidied up bath mat, razor and soap etc - another 1minute.
I consider that a quick shower, I did not sit under the warm water putting the world to rights or dreaming but I do sometimes linger.
So a total of 12 minutes in the bathroom before going in my bedroom to towel dry my hair and body, brush my hair and sit on bed putting on moisturiser, deodorant and spot cream ( psoriasis) - add on 2 minutes. It then took me 3 minutes to get dressed before I was ready to dry and straighten my hair, another 6 minutes. I would need to sort my hair out even if I was going to bed I’d still need to do my hair otherwise I would look like a scarecrow in the morning!
I don’t wear makeup so in total I took 23 minutes from turning on the shower to be dry and dressed again. That was a very focused time as I was keeping an eye on the stop watch, usually I dither around and take longer.
I am obviously inept at having a short shower and admire the person who said she can have one in 1minutes or even in 5 minutes!
I actually hate having a shower, too much messing around but obviously I have them. I do regularly ask my daughter if I or my house have the old lady smell but she assures that I’m fine!
