To ask which dog breed you think is most represented in the media?

Can't work out if my mind is playing tricks on me or if my puppy is the most used dog type in advertising/branding/television shows etc.

I'm aware of Baader-Meinhoff phenomenon so I'm wondering if it's that (or confirmation bias??).

So I'm trying for objectivity here 😂.

Which breed do you think you see most often? And useful to know if it's your breed or one that's close to your heart?

I don’t really think there’s one. I would say recently it’s labs, golden retrievers, poodle crosses, spaniels and a few Jack Russell’s

I think collies are used partly because they are so easy to train and love learning new things. That said they never met mine who stubborn and lazy

Labs, any Doodle mix, Daschunds and (unfortunately) Frenchies.

Jack russell terriers, but I'm in Australia and it might be different in UK.

On TV or in movies… labs, golden retrievers, dachshunds, pugs.

In social media I also see a lot of corgis, Shiba Inu, frenchies and just recently cane corsos.

Id say golden retrievers....but that might be because I have one so more aware.

@mitogoshi Completely agree. I've got 3 of the idiots, one b&w who would live in a sling attached to my body if he could, one blue merle whose as braindead as he's pretty & their tri-colour mum who is belligerent & downright manipulative. They are awesome though 😍

@Vroomfondleswaistcoat I had three different pattetdale crosses at one point! I have one pattetdale cross and one bedlington cross now.
There's a few "spirited" patterdales near me.......not saying mines an angel either 🤣

Ime, they're only ever in the news for being rescued by the Fire Brigade after spending several days down a fox hole.

But they have a way of making you love them.

Aww patterdales are all born minus a couple of screws. Like a canine version of the cartoon character Taz 🤣🤣🤣

Tbh any time we see on the news dog stick in a ....we always think twatterdale and are usually right! Mine "kills" the bedlington cross by dragging her by the neck!!! (This is no encouraged behaviour!) The bedlington thinks it's great fun!

@Caerulea he really is! I love all the dog and cat ones but the bunny knee slap and the llama with the guy in the car made me really laugh!

German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois, but I watch lots of videos and films with those type of dogs..Rex and Hudson 😍 etc
