Not to understand why people keep asking about child friendly places to watch the England football match tonight?

What am I missing?

I’ve seen a lot of people asking for ‘child-friendly’ places to watch the Euro 2024 final tonight, what's that about?

In what way "judgy"?

Possibly suspecting parents were claiming to prioritise child-friendliness while actually just wanting a place that would allow them to get hammered and watch the football but with their dc.

Possibly judgy about parents feeling entitled to inflict their dc on adults in places which ought to be adult spaces but have felt they have to admit children.

That's the kind of subtext I'd normally expect in an MN 'I don't get why...' thread, but if you were genuinely just taking it very literally and the people wanting child-friendly places really didn't give any indication they were looking for somewhere with a bit more atmosphere than their own living room, then I apologise!

I'm off. My local isn't exactly one of those middle class family friendly ones, but if I don't drink I can always head to the one a couple of miles away, that is a bit less rough and ready. Wish me luck!

I think the OP didn't actually mean 'I don't understand' but rather wanted a bit of faux wide eyed innocence to hide her real point 'oh my AIBU to be really judgy of people who want to go OUT with KIDS to watch football, when I am going to be at home with my naice neighbours being all lovely and well behaved'
