Violence is an abhorrent act in any and all forms. Using violence as a tool to override democracy is despicable yes, but it's not alright to hurt anybody else either. There are some isolated and specific circumstances where it's warranted and becomes a "necessary evil", but only as measure of absolute last resort.
Also, it's not something we have a massive problem with in the UK (but there is still too much of it), but civilian ownership of weapons of war is fcuking... I don't have a word for it, but only because "cunt" isn't a adjective. Firearms are intended for, designed for, and incredibly effective at killing people. Any secondary use is entirely coincidental - you don't "need" a rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO for "target practice", you need it shoved in your arse all the way to the magazine housing and the trigger squeezed repeatedly until the BCG is worn down to a pile of dust.
And now here's something new from ol' Froggie for a change, a different approach if you will.
A lot, and I do mean a lot, of the posts and comments in this thread made me feel a little bit cross, mildly miffed, or even downright fcuking enraged - because lots of people think that watching half an episode of NCIS: ABC FBI 123 edition makes them a skill at arms expert, a small arms expert, ballistics expert, a marksman, all the rest.
That they know just how "easy" it is to put rounds on target, even when you're moving, the target is moving, you're looking where you're running with one eye, where he's running with another eye, where his weapon is with eye 3, where your cover is with eye 4, 360° scan searching for any more reds with eye 5...
And also that they know what it's like to take a man's life quick as you can click your fingers, to take that decision in an instant, to be in a position where you have to act in an instant.
Or that their desire for vengeance overrules the laws and customs of civilised society.
It's cool and all though. We're all allowed our own thoughts and feelings, and to express our opinions. I'm not gonna call anyone out or get upset over it.
