Soup from lamb ribs, pearl barley, carrots, celery. Gooseberry crumble and custard.

MavisPennies · 11/07/2024 19:01

😋 to all these - I salute your efforts. We're having chicken shawarma, hummus, salad and flatbread all courtesy of the lovely Mr Marks & Mr Spencer.
I might contribute a salad dressing if I can be arsed.

sugarbyebye · 11/07/2024 19:03

buratta with a tomato and avocado salad. Very fatty, very delicious.

Snackpocket · 11/07/2024 19:08

Cauliflower, chickpea and spinach curry with rice, naan and poppadoms.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 11/07/2024 19:10

We've got this Harissa, hasselback courgettes with whipped lemon feta. I'm serving with giant cous cous and roasted veg. I've not made it before but I'm going through a courgette phase!

Loafbeginsat60 · 11/07/2024 19:10

Rocket, black pudding , bacon and scallops with a creamy garlic sauce

Honourspren · 11/07/2024 19:11

Creamy aubergine pasta

mamaduckbone · 11/07/2024 19:12

Tagliatelle with pancetta, savoy cabbage, thyme, pine nuts and mozzarella. It's sooo good.

Shybutrude · 11/07/2024 20:06

@AtleastitsnotMonday please come back and say if it's good! I like all the ingredients but not soggy things iyswim!

ladygindiva · 11/07/2024 20:16

Ryvita with low fat cream cheese. I treated myself to a large pasty at lunch so I'm not that hungry.

LookAtThatCritter · 11/07/2024 20:18

Italian sausage spinach gnocchi 😊

MotherofPearl · 11/07/2024 20:20

Delia Smith's Roasted Tomato Risotto. It's oven baked so much less tedious than normal risotto. Plus a green salad. Slice of Victoria sponge afterwards.

Topoftheflops · 11/07/2024 20:24

Mine must be the shittest offering: tinned Irish stew. I got off the computer and DH handed it to me. Note: I phoned him earlier and said I would be having something quick and light when I clock off, probably something tinned. He joked he had a tin of stew in his car, I really thought he was joking. It's nice he'd remembered and heated it up for me. Served on a plate not in the pan - bonus 😸

PenangCurry · 11/07/2024 20:26

Homemade bubble & squeak (without bacon)
Warm cheese & onion quiche
Fresh boiled broad beans (sprung from their soft shells)
A small amount of leftover homemade cauliflower cheese

Pomegranate seeds with full fat yoghurt

Glass of apple & mango juice

Aspierational · 11/07/2024 20:26

Already had it. Bulghur stirfry.

TheChosenTwo · 11/07/2024 20:28

I cheated and took the kids out for their favourite dinner! Dh was out and something is wrong with my dishwasher and also the cleaner just came today - the world was against me 😂

UsernameTaken76 · 11/07/2024 20:45

Minted lamb steaks with buttery crushed jersey royals, cauliflower & leeks, gravy and even more mint sauce on the sauce.

Tomorrow is gammon, egg, chips and peas.

FusionChefGeoff · 11/07/2024 21:01

I'm no use - Weetabix and boiled eggs - CBA tonight

Yesterday however I made a delicious Spanish chicken casserole with chorizo, peppers, onions and mini sweetcorn which we had with tenderstem broccoli and rice

XenoBitch · 11/07/2024 21:05

Chicken wings, baby sweet corn, sugar snap peas, and coleslaw.

CurlewKate · 11/07/2024 21:16

We had dal. It was very good indeed. Although I say it myself.

LizzieBennett73 · 11/07/2024 21:30

Halloumi, tomato and avocado on flaxseed toast with chili jam. Couldn't be arsed to cook after a long day.

onwardandupwards · 11/07/2024 21:39

Loaded potato skins with sour cream dip and warm jam doughnut ice cream sundae for after.

Shybutrude · 11/07/2024 21:41

@CurlewKate have you got a good recipe?(Please!) Everyone's dal is so different

Persipan · 11/07/2024 21:43

I had some boiled new potatoes, chopped up and sauteed with red onion, garlic, cavolo nero and some little chunks of cheddar until everything goes a bit brown and crispy. And I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
