People going to multiple Eras dates are selfish

I'm not a Swiftie but DD is a fan and I signed up for the waiting list last year. No code, everything sold out so I assumed I wasn't going to get tickets. Yesterday, I got an email from Ticketmaster with a code for Wembley this weekend and managed to get 4 tickets. DD and friends are delighted.

Other friends are still desperately hoping for tickets, either this weekend or in August. I've seen lots of posts on MN and elsewhere by people in the same boat. Then I've seen other posters saying they, or someone they know, have been/are going multiple times. I just don't understand this mentality. You've seen it once, you know there are thousands of people hoping for that opportunity and not everyone will be able to go because there aren't enough tickets for everyone who wants one. Why take more than your fair share?

YABU - them's the breaks.
YANBU - it's selfish.

OP - I agree. I was lucky to go once. I wouldn’t dream of going again when I read so many stories of youngsters desperate to go. It’s not like other concerts in terms of popularity.

Why doesn't Swift do more concerts if the demand for tickets is so high? Or do some big outdoor concerts at Knebworth etc?

Lack of supply keeps demand high.

I don't think it's as calculated as that, it's simply one of those things where demand so high it can't be satiated. Taylor is doing a huge number of shows at high capacity stadiums - 152 worldwide and over 50 in Europe, for context her previous tour had 6 European dates and that was enough. She can't make the stadiums bigger and she can't add more consecutive nights to the current schedule without risking her health and ability to perform. Yes, she could extend the tour into 2025, but after performing the show for 18 months, as an artist she will be ready to move onto something new and/or have a break, it isn't realistic to expect more of her. So the only other way to reduce demand would be to really pump the prices up (from being on par with other contemporary stadium shows) and I don't think that would be popular!

LOL
Have you seen how long she’s been on this tour and how many shows she’s done/doing at some of the biggest stadiums in the world?
She’s doing 8 gigs at Wembley alone with 90,000 per night.
Knebworth holds 125,000 but most artists only do 3 nights there!
