I don’t like June

June is NOT my power month. I am trying to work out why. Every June when the days are at their longest and the light quality is good I feel slightly disappointed because I really can’t get on board with June. Work is always crazy busy, people seem stressed and slightly manic and I have two family birthdays to manage so finances are crap.

I don’t like that it gets light at 3.30am. I don’t sleep well in June. I feel slightly on edge all throughout. The kids, for some inexplicable reason always come down with nasty coughs and colds at the beginning of June which then rumble on for the rest of
the month. To be honest, I’m not particularly keen on July either. January and February are just to be survived. Nothing enjoyable happens then.

I love October. Love this month because of the autumn fun and the Halloween things. It’s also a beautiful month for walking, such lovely colours everywhere. There’s a buzz of anticipation in the air.

What month or months do you not like and why? What months are your power months, when you feel energised?

Taylor Swift wrote a lovely song called August.

September the last few years has had some properly hot days

Love May/June/July. Hate the winter dark and cold.

Same here. I loathe October, November and December.

June is the month my school holidays used to start as a child. Couldn't wait... Three months off school!
Sunshine, apricots, cherry tree climbing. Streets buzzing with children. Just putting on a dress/ skirt and running out every morning. Waking up with sunshine in your eyes, when it's already lovely and warm.
It was amazing and my 'June memories' will last me a lifetime.

I'm not keen on November and Feb - dark, wet and cold. Jan is ok as it is the calm after xmas.
March can be a bit like Feb if it stays cold and wet. April starts getting better. I like May and June. I used to love August when I had it off with my children but now I have to work through it I find it stressful and full of mum guilt that I can't do more with them. I like Sept and Oct.
