To ask what drugs make people laugh and shriek non stop for hours?

Not because I want them myself mind.

We have a new-ish neighbour who is extremely noisy. She has friends around sometimes on weekends and today they have been shrieking non-stop for literally hours. By non-stop, I mean they are barely pausing for breath. I don’t think it can be a proper conversation, it’s just people yelling over each other. Also lots of stomping around the house (it’s a strange layout where they share a wall with us upstairs but not downstairs).

On previous occasions I’ve assumed it was alcohol but it’s just not normal tonight and now I’m wondering what they’re on.

Definitely. Given that the previous neighbours had a baby and a toddler and we never heard them at all, there’s definitely something very odd about her. The walls are thick here!

A group of neurodivergent friends (particularly ADHD) who don't often all spend time together? Seriously, it sounds a lot like me and some of my closest friends when we get together, and several of the group don't even drink alcohol!

I get your point and I have ADHD so I know exactly what you mean, but they genuinely didn’t pause at all. For maybe 4 hours. The noise was constant. Not like a normal (even ND) gathering at all.

The good news is that they seem to have gone out. The constant Pontipine noise was really getting to me.

Why assume they are taking drugs?

Where I live I always see those small silver canister things discarded and balloons ( pretty rough area ) there can be a lot of shrieking too.

In your original post, you stated, as i have pointed out, that you were wondering what they were on because they were noisy for hours, and your post title asked which drugs caused people to laugh and shriek non-stop for hours...
So yes, you were assuming they were on drugs

I doubt it’s cocaine as I’ve party I’ve been at you can tell the dicks that are on coke as it’s loud talking but a pretty ‘moody’ atmosphere.

Maybe laughing gas or the giggles on weed. Or poppers!
