Haven't been here for probably 15+ years. Went absent, never dipped back in . But today something made me think of the MN support, the laughs, life's highs & lows shared when insomnia kicked after my little DDs were tucked up in bed.

DDs are grown and flown the nest. On reflection it was time well spent. Even the cliquey and other shitty bits. Hope you all keep twirling and scuttling around. If you're new keep with it, it will all pan out.

I think a whole load of us all went over to see what that new-fangled facebook thingy was, so we all befriended each other to see how it worked! Like you, I still have lots of them as my 'friends' even though I've long since forgotten their MN names. Apart from yours!

I got an MN mug as a prize for a competition (something like 'if Shakespeare was on MN...'). Says 'Naice Coffee' on it.
It arrived with a broken handle so it's used as a pen holder.

I had the MN scarf. It was a cheap version of the LV leopard print one. Wore it endlessly and was always complimented. I bet I still have it somewhere.

As many said, it was very cliquey. And there most definitely was a hierarchy.

There has even been a name-drop on here and no one has picked up on it - which tells me the Old Guard is dead.

That said - did enjoy the Friday Night Drunk Thread.

There were some very prolific trolls who strung us along for thread after thread, God help you if you called it out 😳

There were lots of 'in jokes' which thankfully have disappeared.

As others have said there were some really funny laugh out loud threads - true or not they were hilarious. Don't get that now.

This place is still great for advice.

I have been here for many years and many name changes. Have made some fabulous real life friends through mn.

I very fondly recall Bonsoir and was very sad to hear she died a few years back - although I read it on here so not sure that it was definitely true.

I've just remembered something. Wasn't there a woman who was pregnant and her baby's cord had prolapsed? Or something like that? And she posted on here because she didn't know what to do and got amazing lifesaving (for the baby) advice on what position to remain in while she waited for the ambulance. or did I dream it
