I’ve reached the point of feeling a totally irrational surge of rage whenever I see them which is every damn day…

“I was today years old when”

“POV”

“That feeling when”

Anything that is referred to as a “hack”.

Calling an outfit a “fit”

OP posts:

Or stunning all these instatwats referred to everything is stunning 'oh the coffee was stunning' etc no the coffee was nice even delicious but certainly not stunning . And breath .... rant over 😂

to be fair, in Japan i want to go to a place that makes 3D latte art and I want it to be stunning :-D

ColdGirlWinter · 12/06/2024 10:35

I do like making memories, though!! But I don't say so on social media.

gano · 12/06/2024 10:36

I hate how everything is now "core" and everyone rambles on about particular "aesthetics". Drives me up the wall.

mopton · 12/06/2024 10:38

The internet thing I dislike is when people say that a thing is their whole personality now or that liking something or a certain aesthetic is their personality. That isn't what personality is, those are your interests and tastes. Personality is a combination of your characteristics and traits, how you behave and react.

I can never workout if people who say this actually know that a purple Stanley cup isn't and can't be your personality and are just being internet ironic or if there is some blurring between how you portray yourself online, the lifestyle and products you associate yourself with and your actual personality happening.

AngeloMysterioso · 12/06/2024 04:14

Oh god I’ve just thought of some more

“Mother is mothering” (usually under a picture of someone like Zendaya doing something entirely unrelated to mothering)

“Serving” (nothing at all to do with food or tennis)

If somebody did a good job of something they “ate”. Extra points if they “left no crumbs”.

I was going to post they “ate” - what does it even mean!!!

Adrieeeeenne · 12/06/2024 10:40

adulting

Doing something “with this one/this lot”

“much needed” (day out/holiday/coffee)

mcmooberry · 12/06/2024 10:40

Sorry if I am repeating anyone, surely I am as they are awful, but I hate "Out with these beautiful humans" or "day out with these favourites".

pontipinemum · 12/06/2024 10:42

Starlight1979 · 12/06/2024 10:26

Unalived
IYKYK
Spill the tea

I think, and I am not sure, Unalived is used because some algorithms on SM will block/ report the post if it says dead etc

Adrieeeeenne · 12/06/2024 10:42

Oh and the constant waggling of products being promoted - mascaras, cups, shoes ANYTHING gets a waggling from side to side

MildredSauce · 12/06/2024 10:43

GDWM. No. I don't want to get dressed with you and since when did WEARING a handbag become a thing???

God it's all a load of vacuous shite. It makes you want to live in a hole.

horseyhorsey17 · 12/06/2024 10:44

Love you to the moon and back

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/06/2024 10:45

I think, and I am not sure, Unalived is used because some algorithms on SM will block/ report the post if it says dead etc

I think it's specifically related to murder and suicide. Not sure why they don't just add "unalived" to the algorithm.

MrsWhattery · 12/06/2024 10:45

I can't stand "I did a thing" and "this one" arrrrggghh

But the thing I hate most isn't so much a saying but when someone BOASTS about being a good samaritan or salt of the earth. It's so cringy! "I found this man on the street and he hadn't eaten for two days so I bought him this bag of shopping" etc. Pic of said man and supermarket bag. Then the person gets loads of likes and "that was a wonderful thing you did" and "the world needs more people like you xxx" and "you are a beautiful human being" and laps it up.

I'm not envious of the likes, at all - I'm not bothered about them and rarely post on SM. It's just that it makes me feel like I'm from another planet. Since when did egregious boasting and showing off about how great you are become a positive thing? Why aren't people embarrassed to do that? How can people not see it's all about ego? Are you really a wonderful person if you use a passing down-and-out bloke for likes and attention? Ugh.

GoodVibesHere · 12/06/2024 03:01

'So this happened'

'A cheeky coffee'

That's sad if they think a coffee is cheeky. I can understand some kind of incredibly unhealthy or fattening food...but coffee?

EarthSight · 12/06/2024 10:47

@Adrieeeeenne 'This lot'...yes that is cringey, but why?

katseyes7 · 12/06/2024 10:49

If l see the words 'a leggy display' once more....
Every bloody article with some Z list celeb wearing a pelmet skirt or one that's split as far as the ovaries.

MildredSauce · 12/06/2024 10:50

Thought of another. Not a saying. A move.

That pose where they show off a lipstick/mascara/eyeliner/ something else by holding it in front of their open palm?

Argh.

Panicatthegarden · 12/06/2024 10:50

'Run don't walk'

CocoPlum · 12/06/2024 10:51

Thehop · 12/06/2024 02:58

Famalam

making memories

my whole world

🤮

Also: "my little family"

commonground · 12/06/2024 10:51

Also not read all thread, so apologies if repeating...

'It's been a minute'

Also, those dog accounts where they talk like a baby: 'Hooman sez I is gud boyz'

katseyes7 · 12/06/2024 10:51

God, yes, the 'unalived' thing! When did this happen?
Also the 'de@d' and 's3x' nonsense. We're adults. We know what the words are.

katseyes7 · 12/06/2024 10:52

That pose where they show off a lipstick/mascara/eyeliner/ something else by holding it in front of their open palm?
That. And the finger wiggling/nail tapping thing when they're showing off an item.

Poppyg123 · 12/06/2024 10:52

Every single DM female sleb is either 'putting on a busty, or a leggy display'. Horror.

Adrieeeeenne · 12/06/2024 10:55

EarthSight · 12/06/2024 10:47

@Adrieeeeenne 'This lot'...yes that is cringey, but why?

I have absolutely no idea 😂

needsomewarmsunshine · 12/06/2024 10:55

I don't have facebook and other shite because of the pointless drival on it and the inane expressions. Too many to list but two that make me swear whenever I read / hear them in particular is 'super' in front of anything, i.e 'super happy' and 'reaching out'. Just FUCK OFF.
Read it way too much on MN, both just sound so stupid and purile.
