It's bollocks.
I don't normally like bright ☀️ sunshine, but this crap....
Another year with work outside around the house pretty impossible....

I’m utterly sick of this fucking weather. We had two separate days of ‘summer’ where the temperature got up to 18 degrees one day and 20 the other. The rest of the time it’s been grey with a lot of wind and COLD! Look at this - notice the temperatures. When it says ‘feels like’ they are very accurate. *edit: Derbyshire/Notts border.

F me ☹️

Moomin37 · 09/06/2024 17:35

I thought it was just me who got really cold today and couldn't get warm! I even turned the heated seat on in the car 😂

TheaBrandt · 09/06/2024 17:36

Even those saying it’s “glorious” it’s still
not warm is it? Sometimes the sun pops out granted but the wind chill is insane. I keep starting off in a summer dress then add a jumper and tights 🙄🙄🙄

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 09/06/2024 17:37

I’m bloody freezing.

Combattingthemoaners · 09/06/2024 17:39

It’s freezing! Trying to avoid putting the heating on but my nose is cold….in June!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 09/06/2024 17:11

It's sort of turned into a benefit for me, as I'd forgotten to wash DDs polo shirts for school, so they've been done and are now on radiators drying nicely. DD is currently snuggled up with her blanket, and I'm lying on my bed with the cat, a hot cuppa and a candle!

Wish the wind and rain would fuck off though.

I mean, I’d heart that picture in the middle of January 😨

fishonabicycle · 09/06/2024 17:40

It's been really warm here - sunny all morning and the a bit cloudy but still warm this afternoon. Got a out 4lots of washing dried outside! East Sussex FYI!

Currently wearing a sleeveless vest, t shirt and cardigan 😂😂 I've even put the central heating on twice this week 🥶🥶

TheaBrandt · 09/06/2024 17:46

Still using our electric blanket.

I was forced to camp whilst supervising teens a few weeks ago. Lying there nearly in tears at 4am it was so fucking cold in late
May.. Never ever again. Camping is dead to me now.

Affa bonny here - bitty blowy but warm enough like.

Say that again in English

BlackeyedSusan · 09/06/2024 17:46

I'm quite liking it...red head who burns to a crisp from April to September! And kids doing exams. Much better than the 40 degree heat we had a couple of years back.

However, it is bloody weird weather. Still wearing thermal base layer! And it's too dark for June.

There seems to be another shift in the weather pattern going on.

TrickorTreacle · 09/06/2024 17:00

14C today would be more like early April than early June.

"Winter" is a bit of an exaggeration.

14C happens on occasions in the winter, New Year's Day last year for example. Though not for as long.

Translated means It's very lovely here-a little bit windy but still warm enough 😊

13 degrees and persistent heavy rain here. Just feels like your average irish summer's day!

Where in Ireland? I'm in Dublin and it's blowing a gale and we've had a couple of heavy showers but it was dry until recently. What I really hate is how dark it is especially since we're coming up to the longest day of the year and is should be bright until about 10 or so😢. It says it's 13 degrees but the real feel is 8 which feels accurate!

Hollyhobbi · 09/06/2024 17:59

LlynTegid · 09/06/2024 16:37

Normally this week and next are two of the sunnier ones, because children are sitting exams!

Yes, in Ireland we used to call it Leaving Cert weather🤔

bilgewater · 09/06/2024 18:00

Very grey and chilly in London, although there was some early sunshine this morning. Vest and jumper on. Even thinking of putting the heating on for an hour, which I don't think I've ever done in June.

QueenMegan · 09/06/2024 18:03

Really hot morning menopausal....shorts and t shirt sun burnt face....then bloody cold after 3pm...thought I had sun burn...nope its the old blighty weather

ApolloandDaphne · 09/06/2024 18:04

We are sitting in the garden having a drink. Either the weather on the east coast of Scotland is better than everywhere else or we are well hard!

So many Scottish posters saying their weather is good! Is it unusual for you ?

Ye must have a micro climate kind of like Cork and Kerry in Ireland! The time we had snow and ice for weeks in 2010 I think it was they were the only part of the Island of Ireland that was still green on a satellite map! Everywhere else was white! The kids were raging!
